The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged over 600 points in premarket trading on Friday following the release of the better-than-expected jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The Dow jumped 607 at 8:36 am ET ahead of the opening bell on Wall Street.

The FTSE is up 1.25% and S’dry keeps banging on its day high of £1.65 so it looks like it’s we’s going higher.

The investors are also waiting for some data to be announced including the Germany factory orders report and the UK Halifax house prices report.

The DAX gained 0.77% at 7:19 am CET, while London's FTSE 100 increased by 0.53%. The CAC 40 was up by 0.63%.

The euro was 0.09% higher compared to the dollar at 7:18 am CET, trading for 1.13495. The British pound rose 0.14% against the American currency, going for 1.26113 one minute later.

Measures that the executive will allow from 8 June include:
¦ Small weddings and civil partnership ceremonies permitted outdoors, with no more than 10 people present;
¦ Outdoor sports facilities can reopen;
¦ People can leave home to attend to the needs or welfare of an animal - for example to access a range of services, including dog grooming;
¦ Hotels, tourist accommodation and bed and breakfasts will be able to take advance bookings, ahead of a planned reopening in July;
¦ Large non-food retailers can reopen, including car showrooms, electrical shops and phone shops;
¦ About 80,000 people advised to shield can go outdoors with their household; or if they live alone they can meet one person from another household.

Debenhams is to reopen its first stores in Northern Ireland on Monday, followed by 50 shops in England the week after.

Would suggest the rise is due to market comments.
Not bid or speculation about a bid, if there was such speculation the volume would be exceptional.

The only reason I can see as maybe possible is Card Factory are up 20%+ and the was an article in an Irish newspaper yesterday saying CF’s online sales are soaring which I believe is the same with Superdry.

Another point worth noting is if all the stores in countries where the customers are mainly tourists the fact that the shops are open means little in the form of til recipients.
