I guess that WHI have a difficult job to forecast the earnings and effect on SP for such a fast moving company.
With new projects coming along all the time and metals prices bound to fluctuate there are a lot of variables.
Having said that, it does seem strange that they are forecasting earnings to decrease in H2 of the current financial year.

If I were Leon though, I probably would not want to comment on specific forecasts made by brokers. He's just too busy to worry about what people outside the company are predicting. But he will be keen to substantially beat the WHI forecasts as he focuses on "delivery,delivery,delivery"

The hope is that Scancell 's targeting of the N protein will be sufficient to see off Covid19 and all its variants. If this is the case, then the urgency to tweak Covidity is much reduced as compared to first generation vaccines. Over time, more constant epitopes may be discovered on any of the virus's 4 proteins so these could be added as enhancements.
Also it is hoped that Covidity will be effective against all coronaviruses not just Covid19.

What may set Covidity apart from other vaccines is the way Immunobody activates the T Cells. The dual presentation employed by Immunobody produces very high avidity and high clonal expansion of the cells. We know that scib1 produced immune responses in pretty well all patients in the only immunobody trial so far carried out. So, if it can do this for cancer which is very difficult for a vaccine to have an effect, how will it fare against a virus?

Also remember that Lindy has given immunobody an extra boost with Avidimab. Quite how she has managed this is still to be revealed.

So, the potency of the T Cells may set Covidity apart not just from first generation vaccines but also from other 2nd generation vaccines.

It is obvious that CEPI have cottoned on to the potential of Covidity since they have made special mention of it in their blog.

Of course, much of this angst about variants will disappear if a vaccine is found that can be effective solely on the constant parts of the virus.
Scancell have a chance to do this on the N protein. Lindy will have identified more than 1 epitope to this end. Who knows. she may have also identified constant epitopes on the S protein as well.
What should be eagerly awaited is how well the combination of Immunobody and Avidimab is effective in general against a virus as compared to cancer.
There is also a hope expressed by both Scancell and CEPI that it may also be effective against all coronaviruses.

Let's hope the missing piece of the jigsaw, i.e. the delivery, is close to completion.

IMO you cannot compare the GC with the current Covidity situation.

The GC was for the development of a new product (Modi3) via a project that had 2 major disadvantages for Scancell

1) The ownership of the IP with multiple partners all working on the same project
2) The division of the prize money amongst so many participants leaving Scancell with a fraction of the spoils to actually develop Modi3 and make it trial ready.

Scancell obviously made a major mistake in including so many partners. This would have been fine for an academically led project but not for a commercial outfit such as Scancell.

Contrast that with the Covidity situation where Scancell have already been given Innovate UK money to progress the project through to a P1 trial. The world is desperate for a permanent solution to the pandemic. Scancell already have a product which must be close to a P1 trial.
Plus the prize for a successful outcome is so much greater. This is potentially about saving the planet.
So organisations are willing to take risks and throw money at this problem. The funding may come from CEPI, the UK gov or elsewhere. It's a far better situation for Scancell to be in when compared to the GC.

We may have to wait for a P1 trial before things start to happen but the prize is enormous in comparison to the GC prize.
No guarantees but I would suggest that the chance of success with a pre-clinical product already is higher than that of the GC. The timescales are much less too.

Just an RNS to announce that Covidity is now trial ready and an expected date for trial start would cause a great deal of publicity IMO.
The Sky guy would be elbowing other journalists out of the way.
As for CEPI, it is looking like they will have to make their minds up on Covidity using pre-clinical data only. Time is the critical factor in their decision making.

Its a great article that describes the components needed for an effective cancer vaccine.

In no particular order

a) choice of antigen
b) delivery systems
c) Avidity
d) Adjuvants
e) A growing understanding of the TME
f) applicability to different types of vaccines
g) Combination therapy

Really it could be a summary of Lindy's career so far. A growing knowledge and awareness of what is required to make an effective cancer vaccine.
Some of these, principally a), b) and c) are now being applied to Covidity.

The daily mail article had a new statistic in almost every sentence. Very badly written.

I agree about this could well be a perfect storm if and when it becomes clear that Lindy's vaccine will be effective against all variants.
Even before that is proven, the expectation will fuel the SP.
Plan A is to re-engineer vaccines each year and give everybody a new jab.
Plan B .......... well there is none at the moment but there soon could be :-)

Think of the doors that miraculously open to Scancell if and when Covidity is proven to be Plan B. Those same doors that RG found to be closed when he was trying to sell SCIB1.

We all know that C7 used to get a bit too vocal at times but this was entirely down to his illness.
So why would any decent person not just leave him alone when this happens or even apologise.
I just remember this happening once with Bermuda and Bermuda immediately backed down and apologised. A true act of kindness and it doesn't cost anything to do this.

They could at least release an interim RNS about potting progress.
