Let's hope £48 million is enough to produce good results from 3 trials and the results are good enough to secure deals.
I know we are always looking for that pivotal year but is does seem more likely now with not having to worry about cash for 2-3 years.
A deal on Covidity would be good for starters and this could happen late this year or early next. The Zakari situation is also interesting and may lead to a deal or 2 in the not too distant future (that's assuming it is all about the glycans mAbs).

But Scancell have never said that they intend to run phase 3 trials on their own.
The most likely scenario on any of their products is to run as far as phase 2 (phase 1 in the case of covidity) any then look to do deals.
The exception may be the glycans mAbs for which the strategy may be to collect as much pre-clinical data as possible and then look for deals.

It is likely that Avidimab has now been promoted to the same league as Immunobody and Moditope. It could attract multiple deals, possibly 1 for each of the glycans mAbs and then beyond that it can be attached to any mAb. Additionally killing agents can be attached and it can also be used to mediate a conventional T Cell attach or indeed a CAR-T T Cell attack.

The tittle tattle about DE is, of course, about Zakari.
There is a strong possibility (some may think a probability) that Zakari is about the glycans mAbs. So maybe Scancell are quite close to revealing their plans in this area. We know there are 3 collaborations and one of these looked like it led to a deal. The deal was cancelled when Redmile's cash appeared. So is Scancell close to an enhanced deal with the addition of more pre-clinical data? Certainly this is an area to quiz the BOD about in the next AGM.

Yes, its a shame that the enhanced SCIB1 is not part of the current combination trial.

We have another possible stairway to heaven with Avidimab and the glycans mAbs. This may also come before that of Covidity.
Lindy starts talking about these about 6.16mins into her latest presentation and at about 7.33mins she describes Avidimab as an ADC (notice the results in mice experiments over on the right of the slide). A toxic payload is delivered into the cancer cell and judging by the results it look to be pretty devastating.

It is doubtful whether 3) is being sought in phase 1. This will be looked for in phase 3.

2 In phase 1, high Levels of Antibody and T Cells against the 'S' and 'N' antigens including strong evidence of
memory T Cells
3 A deal with CEPI and/or a big pharma
4 Ditto 2 for booster trial
5 Phase 3 started
then
6 Good Efficacy Data after subjects become infected with Covid 19 in any of its variants.
7 Strong evidence that this efficacy surpasses all currently approved vaccines
8 Efficacy is a strong possibility against the same N protein antigens on all coronaviruses

One aspect that might attract Ugur Sahin to Scancell, apart from he and Lindy having mutual respect, is that there is little overlap in the research approaches of the two companies. With Ugur keen on the Mnra approach and Lindy keen on the DNA approach it would inspire a fascinating competition.

Yes, it is fascinating to speculate.
The aim is probably a direct comparison between 2 methods, one may be fairly well known (e.g. the Pharmajet device) and another a promising more experimental method.
Who knows, the 2nd may be something that Lindy's Uni colleagues having been working on. Lindy likes to try new and promising science.
