RE: On the hunt for a ‘universal’ COVID-19 vaccine as Delta variant surges19 Aug 2021 15:08
The point is that it is likely that talks with 1 or more parties are taking place, but exact criteria to be met before a deal is possible for each of these parties is unknown.
If the safety, antibody and T Cell measures are good, then a deal may be on the cards before the P1 trial concludes.
Worst case scenario is that 1 party is involved and we have to wait until P1 concludes and it turns out that they walk away from a deal
Best case scenario we have more than 1 party involved and all parties are seriously interested in Covidity, and at the first sign of good antibody and TCell responses a deal appears.
It strikes me that there are no hard and fast rules to this.
The situation is not as urgent as it was for the 1st wave of vaccines. Having said that, if Covidity achieves its objectives, as outlined by Lindy in that Sky interview, then it becomes a much after commodity.
To be certain of its efficacy, a P3 trial needs to be carried out, but concluding a deal would be a huge step forward.
