Aesop, do tell everyone when it’s getting taken out. Early Q1 was was your original prediction. When that failed you stated a bid would come in March. Now March has come and gone what is it now? June? And when that doesn’t happen - let me guess July? What is your agenda here and what is your position is Metro?
Panderman, I’ll start you off if you need some entertainment... One of the best scenes from Tiger King was when they were hunting the Ostrich. The defence strategy of the Ostrich was very similar to Team Aesop - eg they kept their head in the sand. Needless to say it didn’t end well for them!
+ve Fibre rollout, 5g, quite diverse now with fixed line, mobile, TV, B2B. good divy, good FCF, defensive in CV :)
-ve OFCOM, pension, debt pile, high capex nature of telcos
ive already factored in a 30% divy cut so if it stays around 10p id still be happy with it
DYOR - not advice
"The hedge funder has increased his stake in Vodafone and bought shares in UBS, US cable company Charter Communications, and Dutch shipping company Euronav, according to the Mail on Sunday."
The article doesn't say anything about him buying up Metro shares...
funny how no one in team Aesop calls each other out for bullying / attacking (including the stuff I've posted here before). also do I remember someone wishing someone else was shot in the face. but this stuff is never called out, feels easier to attack the people you should have listed to rather than the people you shouldn't have.
Yeh think I will be out of Sainsbury’s at the next quarter update as it will be mad and pretty much impossible to beat during the next quarter! Yes same old problems for BT, figure it’s somewhere safeish for now as an essential utility especially with more people working from home, although what do I know - if it hit 68p in a few weeks it wouldn’t surprise me either! Only blues in my portfolio now are LMT and V. Rest red!
Yes saw MNG, big spike from a director buy, just hope the spike holds. RB is a very safe place to be in these times - my Sainsbury’s shares are flying from people panic buying, and hopefully BT has turned a corner!
Nov doesn’t sound like childish anger to me mate. Nothing wrong from defending yourself with a bit of payback from the unproved attack you got from the Messiah when you sold. Just a shame the disciples are too blind to see it even when I copy and pasted it lol
Morning Theo, just had a look, won’t to setting my alarm clock for that lol yes shame about VMUK. Also good bounce for CINE but not sure about a business model that doesn’t open for business in the foreseeable and is in mountains of debt. Funnily enough the last film I saw there was Greed. Definitely worth watching and some of the asset stripping reminds me a bit of Cine itself - lots of sale and leaseback, big divys for owners and big debts.
