Hi, will one of you bright sparks please advise why i am bringing restricted to 35 shares?
Hi, IB. I agree entirely with you comments. I have been with SAV for many years and felt certain they were a genuine company with a sound background. I can understand why they appear not to be too concerned, as ( i fear though does protest too much) can lead to a misunderstanding. However, i would feel more confident with an update on how things are progressing. It has been a long journey.
Well after all the years I have been with SAV, i was confident that it would be a success. However, if it walks like a duck, makes the noise of a duck and keeps ducking out of giving us positive information on how things are going it is no wonder we are concerned and share holders are moving out.
I will hang on for a while and start looking daily as to how things are going. I

Hmm? So this little village is taking on the UK (Sav are Brits ), and they are also taking on China? Really? I wonder if this little village is using candles instead of electric lighting?
I wonder how many of the complainants have a mobile phone with them.
I am old enough to have seen a lot of changes in my lifetime and love it or hate it time moves on and change is inevitable.
The ice caps are melting, our summers are hotter than i can recall. There is a vast amount of effort being undertaken to reduce climate change.
Perhaps these issues have not yet been understood by the nay sayers.
Time to move on chaps and think about the infrastructure being offered to the people and the improved quality of life, in recompense for the disruption.
Well, it has been a long journey, ? 7 years. Bought in at 1,5 pence? now have a reasonable number of shares.
I have enjoyed the banter and the sound advice from Chamalean and others.
I think we can now relax and enjoy the rest of the ride.
Best wishes,
Interesting read CM.
Unfortunately both sides have a reasoned argument. However, someone has to give way, the planet is suffering with increased heat and pollution. The ice is melting, critical insects and other fauna are disappearing. With all this reality we are being met with obfuscation from intelligent people who seem unable to be unable to pass these messages across to the ney sayers. Time for a grown up to take the reins and give clarity to to the population as to the essential necessity for change.
Just a personal view no offence intended.
Thanks C.M. your supplemental article fits very well. Without clarity on the legitamascy of the mining process being above board, i can see this prevarication continuing.
Have a read of an article by Anthony Beaechey. It is too long to have posted,
Came across this via PORTUGAL resident daily news paper.
Why Portugal is so much poorer than other European countries
By Anthony Beachey
Might help us understand why we are in the situation with SAV.
ironknut you are not alone. I am 3 days from my 73rd birthday and feel that I have known SAV for the majority of those years.
I understand the need to ensure that all the solders are lined up ready to go, but at this rate they would be collecting their pension before moving. I have enjoined the excitement of the run but not looking forward to a negative end. I little bit of humour to to keep our spirits up.
Totally agree
Sorry for the delay.
Hopefully this will help

Copy the above and search with Google
Yes it is 3 years ago and i thought it relevant to the current hyperbole around water shortages.
Given the reality of current shortages of water, it does seem an appropriate time for protesters to to take up arms.
It was in response to the post by Alwasd and Having read the article I set about seeking further information as to Portugal's status reading water supplies.
Oh! may we live in interesting times. :0)
Came across this today, published August 2019.
If the "the portugainews" is correct then I can under stand why the population have concerns. However, I would like to think that given the passing years, surely this has been addressed adequately to avoid such a catastrophic event.
I bought some more shares to day. After reading the comments, i looked at the trade this afternoon and it is showing as sell.
Not sure how this helps but i thought it may be of interest.
In support of your comments, have a read of this. It points towards the Law's associated with EIA.
I feel much of the delay is getting the law makers to confirm that the legislation is being adhered to.
Given that this matter has been returned to the law makers for further discussion, if the dating of hearings is anything like the UK in terms of the numbers of people waiting for a time slot, I not at all surprised this matter has taken so long.
Given that this matter is out of the hands of SAV, we can only wait and hope for a sensible review in favour of SAV and the Portuguese government to allow the project to proceed.
I cannot paste the link. If you search for portugals via rules if will take you to:
Environmental Law and Practice in Portugal:Overview
Excellent post Starfoxx, I found the other reads interesting and it has reinforced my faith in Savannah. I feel very confident that this project will go ahead.as planned.
I would like to agree that this does seem to make sense. However, after 5 years I am still left wondering what is stopping the EIA report. A crucial part of the process that, in my option, should have been put to bed by now.
My thoughts on this are, the delays have addressed the issues and that all that needs to be done is to ensure the project will be as clean as possible. Therefore, this leads to a worrying conclusion that there is a battle going on between relevant parties and it is guesswork as to the probable outcome despite the recent plaudits as to SAV's approach relating to the high quality engineering.
Not surprising given the current issues relating to Russian oil and gas. You will have read Europe is wanting to divest itself of Russian gas and Oil. Uk is now talking to Arab nations for an Oil deal. Not so sure where UK Gas supplies are currently.
I feel that Lithium will be more in demand and hopefully, Portugal will survive the nay sayers and common sense will out.
It has been a long journey CM but I feel more confident than I have been of recent months that this project is very close to culmination.
Nice resume Starfoxx.
I would like to think that the issues are being addressed.
I can see why you have posted this and hopefully SAV will respond.
Thus, giving us some degree of comfort.
