I can elect to receive their Premium mail service for free for a year if I want to keep the address but would have to start paying the monthly charge thereafter. In return for the free service on a trial basis, I need to agree to be bombarded with promotional literature. One of the oldies has been on the ball and has dropped the 1571 call minder thing or something like that as the charges seemed a bit steep. I'm off on holiday so it looks like goodbye bt from me. I was checking the short tracker site and Ennismore's short position last night was recorded as being reduced by .3% - couple of reductions of shorts positions for rsa as well. Gus18 - As far as I'm aware, the shareholder discount vouchers cannot be used for on-line purchases and some branches will not allow you to use them on lines already discounted in store. Certainly never had any bother getting the vouchers from my broker even although the shares were held in a nominee account. Did wonder if they should have given more vouchers to larger holders as it always seemed a little unfair that those holding only a few hundred pounds worth of shares got the same number of discount vouchers as larger holders prepared to invest more in the company and some shareholders even abused the system in using their discount vouchers to buy a gift card and then used another discount voucher when making purchases with their gift vouchers. Be very careful how you tread here, Blackrock have opened up a short position. Take care and good luck.

Luckily my son has grown out of most consoles except the vita. His PS3 burnt out one day through over use and my nephew tried to repair it in the oven lol. Supposedly helps with hand eye co-ordination etc. Spent a fortune in games over the years and don't even know how to switch a console on and wouldn't want to. I'm going to bake some cup cakes this afternoon. Should be in a position to shake some stuff around after the holidays if not before. Would be more inclined to buy cup than tesco with the news that the tesco Director of Finance might step down due to a continuing suspected sharp fall in profitability and market share . Funded the uptake via the sale of another share and a divi. My own broker requires cleared funds from the sale transaction so had to allow an extra 3 days from the sale for the funds to clear lol should have checked my broker's timetable as well as rsa's. Look the reason I sold here was because a FTSE "blue chip" as you call them had been run so well that they had to suspend paying a divi and call on investors to help them with a rights issue. If I didn't have the funds to take up my rights then my holding in rsa would be diluted. Like I said this morning, the Aim's sector may well get a shot in the arm when stamp duty on purchases of Aim's stocks ends later this month. The divi here is now better than Tesco? Will be interested to see if Tesco can actually maintain its divi at last year's level like cup. From the results here today I picked out "Revenues from continuing business were flat at £26.6m (FY 2012: £26.7m)" which is not bad considering all that stuff the BBC did last summer and, of course, your tale about Monica in the Femail getting it for free. I see you topped up your Tesco yet again today selling Weir and an aimer. Don't want to alarm you but, as soon as I entered Perth today, I noticed that even the toffs there have a big Aldi and Lidl sitting cheek by jowl and a Morrisons right beside them with one of those minaret type things. Bit further down the road was the Tesco Metro which looked totally deserted at lunch time but maybe all the grannies had been in earlier for their Daily Records, half a 49p cucumber and a banana. Wine tasting was excellent 15 or more to try and we stocked up with that and rare beers from Peebleshire and rbrand's Castle Douglas and food items in the shop. Majestic. No it wasn't there but a pleasant change from the supermarket stuff. The thing that was most predictable about here this morning is that a bunch of posters who arrived from nowhere (not announcing their buy ins) to ramp this up would then start to deramp. I mean climbing wooster's got form here. Good luck with a third of your pf now in tesco opium but I don't see any rise coming there in the lead up to the results this year. I know you said you sold a lot of unspecified Aims rubbish and some blue chip fse 100s to increase your holding there. No point in trumpeting your departures if nobody knows when either of you arrived here in my view but, in any case, though it's nobody's business, I sold on the sly yesterday to fund the rsa rights issue. In so far as cup goes, still a better business proposition than the vast majority of Aims rubbish out there and hey no stamp duty later this month to buy back in. That divi and the business looking just as good as Tesco to me at the minute Poppy. This bb, probably no worse and a darn sight better than a lot of others on lse. I think it only fair that one of us comes on here to flag up that Aviva made up much of the ground it lost yesterday morning in the afternoon. Might that signal that the overreaction and hysteria created has settled. I don't know and don't really care as I sold my Aviva shares at over £5. I stopped posting on the bb as I wasn't the first poster to observe that there was very little chat about the share in question just loads of tips and chat about other shares amongst a few friends and colleagues - a bit like the bby bb was for several years until some holders must have complained to lse. Aviva down over 7% and rsa up nearly 2%. I think you should pop onto the aviva board where you said last month you were holding shares and give them some of your valuable input that is assuming you didn't sell your aviva after the budget. atb

I've figured that for the next decade one or other of the kids could be doing major exams immediately after the Easter/Spring/ Whitsun holidays which is now sort of standardised so the ideal thing to do is head for one of the more remote Scottish islands where there is not much to do. I will have internet access so will be keeping tabs on things but like to get away from it all completely once in a while. Have the summer holidays booked too which will also be in the UK and heading off somewhere warm in October which might be a problem as I have prepaid tickets for Lee Evans in Glasgow for several lads including my own so if any of them land in jail lol or elope or whatever before then I'll need to sell the tickets on the black market or go myself.
