In my haste to get to the curling tongs, I should have said that my broker is okay but I'm not here to do a free ad for them. They were one of the first to issue the shares into accounts from the rsa rights issue and gave the most favourable exchange rate in connection with the enrc takeover - that's if you believe everything you read on these bbs. I am the first to contact them directly if I feel they have done something which might leave room for improvement - with some degree of success on that front - but I would achieve nothing moaning about any such issues on a bb.

Fair enough Opium. I got your response on the tesco bb. I view alcohol used in moderation as a totally different ball game to tobacco which I think you have been invested in in the past. There is some evidence to suggest that alcohol used in moderation can be beneficial to health and reduces stress levels and prevents elevated blood pressure. However, I wouldn't be too hard on folk who are selling or have sold tesco. They have as much right as you to sell a share with a declining share price and those still invested here have as much right to hold here for their divi and a hoped for recovery in the share price as you do at tesco without any needless badgering. I think this company is missing Walsh but it is still producing quality goods for the domestic and export market which don't go out of fashion. And yes I did buy a few here back and April when I was on Barra where Compton McKenzie of Whisky Galore fame is buried and sold at a profit as is my right. Why did I not report my profit from the sale - well there was somebody on this bb in a huff with me who has had ample opportunity now to share their thoughts with us on this share and has not taken it. Not really sure what you're talking about. Anyhow can I enquire how many years, months, hours, minutes or seconds you were invested here to make that profit. Are you more of a trader than you make out and doesn't your Pop still think this is worth investing in though he is scaling back his tesco.
