I hope nobody was swayed by your ramping on here and your musings that this would go for £3.70 whilst you were actually selling tranches here at a much lower price and not letting on till days later when the details of the indicative offer became known. For the record, I was always suspicious of your motives here with your username and your limited number of posts and the boorish manner in which you frequently engaged with other bb users. Thank God there are still folk like Ant and myself in the world who are not simply motivated by mercenary considerations and will at least try to prompt improvements in the system. If Vlad's post indicates anything, it's that the oligarchs have only been able to advance this derisory offer through the shortcomings of the present UK regulatory systems which some of us want bettered. BTW the current price here indicates that the market isn't convinced that the current offer will go through and that at a time when our PM has been trying to forge more business links and encourage investment in Kazakhstan so we do have a bit of a current issue going on here.

I was sitting on a loss at lloy for two years until this April. What made it worse for me was that they weren't paying any sort of divi. I had also pressed the buy button on behalf of my husband a few months earlier with lloy. He changed his trading account password and has since done all his own trading and doesn't let me trade on his behalf which suits me as I can't be blamed if anything goes wrong and I never got any praise for getting things right. The divi at rrs could be a lot better but at least it's something if you are going to wait it out patiently here. I hope you make up your losses with this or something else ATVB.

My husband now tells me that he has had bother occasionally buying large amounts of some other ftse 100 shares. I have never had a problem so I am obviously not a big enough hitter. I did read somebody post yesterday on the kaz bb on iii this: "Has anyone been accused of market abuse by iii? I tried placing a large order but the price quoted was significantly above the current offer price at the time. I then split my order into 10 segments a bought at the current offer price that saved me loads relative to 1 trade. I then complained to iii that I have been disadvantaged by having 10 lots of dealing charges rather than 1 expecting a refund for 9. Their response was that I abused the market and the trades can be reversed without my permission. " Wow

I've never had a problem buying or selling rrs when I wanted to. I don't think I have had as many as 500 though to sell in one tranche. I checked with my husband who does buy and sell amounts in excess of 500 at a time and he's never had a problem. We are both with different brokers and neither of us are with the ones you mentioned so I guess this must be unique to the brokers you mentioned which I think were barclays, Lloyds and halifax?

Yeah I have been busy all week and I am a big tennis fan. Your point being? I don't think I said on the kaz bb at least 10 times today though that I didn't intend posting again on there: I think that was you. I haven't bothered to read all the posts on the kaz bb today because it descended into a complete farce with folk chucking insults about and saying absolutely zilch about the share. If you have issues with any other posters on there then please keep me out of it. I am not interested in folks' egos whether it be Zak Mir with his kaz tip of the month for June or you with your £6.50 or something similar within the next fews weeks equally ridiculous prediction. So far, the enrc bb has managed to stay focussed on the important issues surrounding this company at this point in time and I guess most of us on here would like to keep it that way.

How much of Kaz's income in the past was derived from enrc? Assuming the enrc deal goes ahead, how long are the former enrc shareholders likely to keep their kaz shares? Will kaz bid for enrc? Will Kerimov bid for kaz? The kaz bb is full of talk about the indices, anybody brave enough to go on there and chuck about a few hand grenades about KAZ.. It looks to me as if some guy who works for a broker house has been paying his subordinates to say how wonderful he is - trouble is he's predicted nothing right about kaz so far.

I'm with Ant on this. Principles are not mentioned often enough in investment circles. I don't feel confident about investing anywhere at the moment. I want to feel sure that when I invest there are some safeguards and rules to ensure that play is fair. At the moment, breaches of the Disclosure and Transparency Regulations are going unpunished and are not being investigated. A complainant isn't even notified of the outcome of investigations when drawing a matter to the the attention of the fca/UK Listing Authority and the Takeover Panel's regulations need to be rewritten in plain English. I've paid quite a lot into the coffers of HM Revenue and Customs on stamp duty on share purchases and the government in the last budget introduced measures to abolish stamp duty on the purchase of Aim's stocks in the near future. This will maybe draw in some new investors with their hard earned savings so we have every right to ask our MPs to take action if current regulatory bodies are not doing enough to protect small personal investors from being ripped off. Investors can't pass new legislation, MPs can.

I think you were asking for advice on whether to hold here or sell at a loss. I would go on your own gut instincts rather than seeking advice on here. No need for people to declare their trades on these bbs in my opinion but where folk have declared a buy then they really should be declaring their sells. And it's hollow advice for somebody who has sold out here to advise you to hold on. Do your own thing. If you want a bit of a chuckle read the somewhat sardonic posts of Goldmanminer on the rrs bb. here and this deal could fall through so this company should be taking steps to address the free float shortfall here right now should it not.

There are few kaz investors on the lse bb at the moment - just traders who might not be holding the shares long enough to qualify for a vote. Very few shareholders venture onto any of these bbs No posts on the enrc bb on iii from durby who thought that the Takeover Panel might rule kaz plc was ineligible to vote and no/ few posts from any of the other posters who voted up duby's posts on iii. White Rose is posting reasonably sensible posts on the kaz bb on iii about enrc and the advfn posters appeared to think the deal was off yesterday! Fwiw, I am one of the kaz minority shareholders who will be voting no on the basis that kaz might be next for this treatment. I would imagine the enrc vote will be later? Needless to say, I am planning an exit strategy at kaz and I wouldn't touch shares in any companies based in this country again. kaz to me could sell off any of its assets to its buddies for a song in the near future and is not to be trusted. Kerimov's silence on this to date doesn't reflect well on him either as far as I'm concerned. Far from being a knight here, he looks as though he could have been in this to secure a victory for the oligarchs which will do nothing for his reputation in the future - unless of course we hear otherwise.

Yes what would you suggest. I contacted a few MPs earlier this year in relation to another company and was referred to my own MP in whose constituency the company had no presence. Another MP offered to keep me in the loop with regard to any progress she made/replies received from the fsa/fca but I've heard nothing so perhaps I'll need to contact her again.

UK regulatory bodies granted an extension of time to this and 4 other companies to meet minimum free float requirements. The extension should have been granted subject to no opportunistic or hostile takeover bids being permitted until the free floats were increased to meet the minimum levels. The UK Listing Authority seems to be pretty toothless. Only one high profile penalty imposed so far on a former Morrison's Chairman for a breach of the Disclosure and Transparency regulations which is a complete and utter joke.

Eddiee - fres was £20 at the start of the year and is now under £9 so, when comparing tumbling share prices, there's not much of a difference between fres and kaz and both companies have fairly minimal free floats.

One of the Reuters pieces said there was funding but I remain sceptical given Kerimov's considerable and growing holdings with the relevant banks. The banks must have grave reservations about recovering the debts owed to them under the present ownership as it is and might be keen to see the company in new hands.
