Better modify the last post slightly as it's not clear that SC has opened a short on solg but folk have been inferring that he has from what he posted on the advfn bb yestereday "Gentlemen, Surely a better valuation (at most) for SOLG is 3p." I have no personal view on solg myself having sold at around 12p on 20th November 2011.

Looking good at £1.94 according to Robert Sutherland Smith on the share prophets on Monday - slipped back a bit since but a nice divi on the way. Ivornovello you underestimate iLeeman, he was out of solg on Thursday before Cawky opened the short on solg yesterday. I'm wondering how Cawky managed to speak to the vog management, open his long there and open his short at solg all in the one morning - must have an army of helpers at his command. There's nobody can fault you for the strategy you adopt. You have a knack for spotting shares when they are at or near their bottom. Okay you maybe sell some a bit early but nobody can be criticised for taking a profit when it's there. My husband has let massive profits slip through his hands at pfd and maybe one or two others whereas I usually sell too early to snatch a profit. However, he's quick to put a stop on his losses whereas I usually attempt to average down using one method or another which can work if you get lucky (I once had a share that rose by more than 200% in a day and by plus 50 plus % another day) and the share price frequently fluctuates a lot or has a prospect of going up following an overreaction - otherwise you could be averaging down till Doomsday. Philski now now is that a touch of jealousy or sarcasm I wonder. Fact is you know I'd be lethal if I was into this short selling malarkey. Funnily enough, I'm sure I heard that blasting out in Argyle Street, Glasgow when I passed a High Street retailer - can't remember the name - on Tuesday. You know the one with all these branches that they said would have to close which have suddenly become viable. I blame the foreign oligarchs for all the evils in Britain today.

I'm okay with alcohol but not tobacco. We should have listened to steelbawsfaeGlesga's advice about solg if not agk lol - or maybe not those killer spreads in Aims and, if you're not in the loop, you could find yourself 50% down as often as you'll find yourself 50% up with no point of return on the horizon well not in this world anyway lol. There is certainly one big fan of EDIN on the lse bb. Preference shares eh, never had any of those but guess that gives you the same sort of privileges as a debenhams gold card holder as opposed to the ordinary card holder riff raff. I do believe the George Hotel is where the cup agm was held. Like I said yesterday, I need to await a payout from the enrc oligarchs for me to have any serious funds for investing but I never put much in Aims anyhow. I have confirmation this morning -as if it were needed - of two of my holds not paying out an interim divi so what I'll do is see where cup is when I get my divis from fres which are not a lot this year. Aye these foreigners are starting to beat the Scots at a few things besides football and I don't mean the English either. ATB

Hi there, yes I did see you giving me a name check on the pfd bb a while back. I've tried to steer clear as there are quite a few petty disputes on that bb between folk who are supposedly on the same side and, contrary to my good friend Denis's memory, I do recall when it hit 3p in November 2011 as I was buying some and posting at 2 mins past 11 on the 11th day of the11th month in the year 2011. I did pop in though recently with well wishes - not a bad set of results there. I am not currently holding here. - all the best

Tucson So I was right then - no interim divi from kaz. I reckon you should have got out of kaz when you hit breakeven and looked for a better mining share or something totally different even. Nonetheless I hope your return to that bb will come in the not too distant future at the price you said. Bunkermad, as I have said before, I sympathise with any long-termers who bought enrc at prices considerably higher than today's. However, notwithstanding the kaz situation, anybody who carpetbagged into enrc in recent months since the takeover was announced really cannot expect too much sympathy and I am scratching my head wondering how such people could have racked up massive losses here unless they bought it that one day here in recent months when it went very briefly just above £3. There is an Aim's punter who is in and out of shares like a butterfly who is in a share which has had prices ranging from 1.18p to the mid teens in less than twenty-four months and he was telling me too about his losses here recently! If you listened to the posters on here who said there was an offer about to come in for £4 or it would go for £3.70 or £3.40 then yes lesson learned about great expectations.

Toscafund's last notified holding here meant that they were very close to crossing the next threshold so if they have been doing any significant buying a holdings rns will be required. Haven't looked at the othe Exchange but doesn't look as though there has been much buying on London Stock Exchange of late. Was the 6,666 buy today yours, the devil's or Mbond's I wonder

King Elvis tells me HSBA went ex divi today but I don't even trust him and intend to check that out for myself. There was a guy called steelbaws fae Glesga - or was it steeljaws - trying to tell me to ignore the aggreko divi as it was gonna plunge rapidly to £12 or £13 and solg was looking a solid short term winner. Mind you the King and I sold solg at 12p or something - well he probably got more than me if truth be known - on St. Andrew's Day 2011 and it has the dubious distinction of being the share that plunged to 2p and caused 30,000 plus posts Mulled Wine to hang up his posting boots on the lse. Call me an old sentimental if you like but I support Scottish companies if I can. And there's a poster on the solg bb called news - never understood his posts in the slightest.
