RE: 20 most successful names13 Sep 2013 14:59
Ivor as you know I take a maternal rather a cougar like interest in you so I hope you sold your solg. You're right about that list of names and when I looked at it again guess what: my first late husband, my son,my late father, all three of my brothers including my eldest late brother, my late brother-in-law and 5 of my six nephews' names appeared in to the top 7 with the last nephew not that far behind and two late uncles further down the list as well. I suppose they are some of the most common though old fashioned names going. My current husband's name features on neither list but Alex Salmond surely isn't responsible for poor old Alexes featuring on the poorly paid list. Did you say your father was Ian and that is a form of Ivor? If it is and your dad went to North Kelvinside Secondary - as opposed to the very posh Kelvinside Academy - has a surname beginning with N and studied engineering at Strath tech on a mainly male course then he may be one of my former beaus. I was studying on a mainly female post-grad course there and the last time I saw him we were cooing at the new born babies leaving for home in taxis from the old Glasgow Rottenrow Maternity close by ....
If you are still looking for a girlfirend Ivor, the dog walking is a good suggestion. Many years ago, my family wondered why my middle brother was so keen to take out the late Toy poodle of my late brother's wife. Turned out lots of girls stopped to coo at the cute little white dog and there was some unwelcome attention from a few men as well. We'll need to keep in touch Ivor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjqi5pb6u58
