Lol are two different posters! but they both seem to have been supportive of cup in the past in any case. Apologies ash for the confusion but rbrand resurfaced on lse after a little absence and he was one of the few posters on here in recent months so I thought you meant him. Case of mistaken identity which is understandable given the similarity of the names lol or have i been taking too much of that Botanist gin from islay. Are you currently shorting this share Rbraz?

What do you think about the timing of Dobbie stepping down? I thought we were waiting on some sort of trading update here.

Don't think rbrand is a short seller of this share. If you have been around cup as long as you say then you would realise that he has been reasonably supportive of the company. The statement about Dobbie stepping down was pretty brief and no reasons were provided so people naturally wonder what the full story is. Different things can happen when a chief excutive goes. The company can perform at the same level, perform better or, as in hmv's case, go bust within 5 months. Let's hope in cup's case the company goes from strength to strength and that there is some further info or explanation. He's certainly still involved with the company at director level and is still heavily invested but a bit of press coverage and an interview in the Herald or Scotman with the new Chief Executive wouldn't go amiss.

Well Dobbie's at the age when a lot of men take early or semi retirement and some set up in business for the first time lol. Yeah well done on the bmn! seen it , I took a gentle ribbing this year when I was invested in oml as the share wasn't thought to be sexy enough. If I had put all my money in oml and not bought any oils, miners or Aims this year then I would have had a much smoother like. Sometimes you have just got to say to hang with racy shares and let me live in peace with my pipe and slippers.

I think you need to be really careful that you do not alienate former holders here like myself who keep an eye on this share with a view to buying back in. It's all very well for you to say that people should not have sold at a loss. I've stood up to short sellers with a number of shares but it can be a very lonely and time consuming board to tread. You have only been posting on this bb for a very short period of time and nobody has a clue what price you bought in at. It has certainly been a very lonely bb for spottedlurcher since August with only the odd poster looking in from time to time to keep his morale up and that didn't include you until very recently but I do hope that he can expect your complete support here for the long haul but you simply cannot say that anybody who eked a small profit here was wrong to take it or that those who bought in at 3 or nearly 4 times today's price were wrong to sell. Everybody must do what feels right for his or her self as an individual. I was here on 22nd March when the bear raid decimated the share price in a couple of hours and sat through weeks of traders saying they were here for the long term only for them to pull out their profits on more than one occasion. I don't know what to make of Dobbie's resignation quite frankly but the share price has gone down since the news was delivered. However, hope the price rockets for spotted who is a really decent chap. ATB

I do not recall you being criticised for selling here nor was I when I sold before you nor was golfergold when he sold before or around the same time as me. I think what you had on here was a bit of a response and reaction to your story about your friend's experience on a dating site which had nothing to do with cupid and the sums you said he was unhappy about being charged.

Have just read your post from last night about the large number of shares you have in your portfolio. I guess you don't keep tabs on them all on a daily basis or you would be cross eyed. I've only ever played bingo once with a bunch of pensioners on a cruise ship and only had one card and that was more that enough for me and I couldn't keep up with them playing with several cards. I know my late bachelor uncle went to the bingo with his sisters once and he used swizzle sweets as markers. He was waiting on one number for a prize of some sort and go so nervous that he started to perspire and eat the swizzles as they were clinging to his fingers. Oh they don't make folk like that generation now alas.
