BeContrarian: +1 for what you've said! I just ignore the boards now, rarely anything useful on here nowadays sadly. I'm in no rush for the share price to climb, happy to wait 5 years really.
Anyone know why the share price is displaying as 22.9 (+689%) on ADVFN??
I’m guessing it will either be on or just after the IPO date (19th I think?) or it won’t be until the 9 month lock-in ends.
I don't post here particularly often, but when I have done, I have usually been positive about the company. In variance with a lot of others, I appreciate the negative posts as much as the positive posts because it is useful to provide a balance.
I guess I'd advise everyone here to stop checking the share price, it's clear that the CEO's promises not being delivered are driving the fall (and traders are benefitting as a result) but nothing has really changed other than timescales slipping. It reminds me of when I was younger and an employer promised to "let you know tomorrow whether or not you've got the job" which turned into 2 days, which turned into a week, ....
If the share price upsets you, ignore it. Don't lose confidence because the share price is falling: the company being slow to finalise what is probably a large and complex contract is not unusual - the CEO's words 'I'm buying tomorrow' shouldn't be taken too literally - he can't control everything...!
Thanks to those who replied to my last question, really appreciated.
One more question: do we tick ‘yes’ to existing shareholder? Technically I feel like we are, but I don’t actually have the free shares in my account as of yet…
Does anyone know what to put for the 'trading account number' with HL? Is that just my client number? I would ask Hargreaves but I probably won't get a response for 2 days!
Really interesting what he just said: 'When a share goes ex-dividend, fundamentally, the share price will drop by the amount that the dividend is worth'.
I know a lot of you have been discussing the idea that "Poolbeg wasn't listed on the balance sheet so the spin-off shouldn't affect the share price", but I always found that odd - yes technically that's correct, but in reality we all know it has some value so the share price drop wasn't surprising. The share price didn't fall yesterday weirdly though, so the fall seemed to be more related to the results than the ex-C date.
Yep pretty much! I think it actualy is available on other platforms at the moment, but I don't know which ones, and it's certainly not all platforms.
I guess the only other thing to add would be that you'll be able to get a live quote and the share price will display properly.
I'm completely with you, but I think we need a bit of patience here. I feel like there are quite a few companies in a slow news cycle at the moment, but the news will come! I've been checking Amazon every day - the 'finance update' on the 26th May suggested they'd list on Amazon in 2-3 weeks (today is 2 weeks) so it should literally be any day now. The LSE listing is still a couple of months out still, so I think the next thing to look for is the results. Not really expecting any update until then.
BTW, does anyone know if the listing will be on the main market, or on AIM? I'm assuming it's the main market, because Aquis is basically something analogous to AIM already?
I’m surprised the share price didn’t get a big boost this morning. I took the opportunity to buy a few more, ensuring that I rounded off this time!
Thanks a lot for this, really very good of you.
Will anyone be recording the session this evening? Unfortunately I can’t make it at 6pm, but if it gets recorded by anyone for whatever reason - I’d appreciate the links!
Hope it goes well!
I don’t think this is quite correct. To be promoted, the market cap needs to be in 80th position or above. Even though ORPH is just about in the top 100 now, this isn’t enough for promotion.
For those below discussing when the LSE listing might happen, Tony is quoted in the article below as saying that it is expected to complete in September.
The share price at the moment is completely irrelevant to reality, it's difficult for most people to buy through Aquis. I guess as others have said below, it's a fantastic sign that additional investors are willing to come on board - seems a sure sign that when the stock is more readily available there will be a lot of interest!

Thanks!
ignore 'assuming'!
Does this mean that ALL of the spin offs can go ahead, assuming, i.e. the court approves any future reduction in capital?
For some reason I thought they'd have to make a separate application for each company they wanted to spin off..
If it really is someone exercising their share options, it doesn't seem right that they're able to sell in bulk like this, driving the price down significantly. I guess that's one of the issues with small company investing!
Possibly a good dip buying opportunity though.
I think the share price WILL go down, but unfairly so. Exactly as you've said Bronxville - the current share price theoretically doesn't reflect the value of the spin off because it's an unvalued asset within Open Orphan, so when it gets spun off, the share price shouldn't budge. But more likely it will fall temporarily because new shareholders realise they're missing out on the spin off. I guess it should then correct once company results prove that the spin off hasn't affected profit/operation etc.
I messaged HL RE the lack of voting form and asked them to record that I’m voting in favour of everything. They replied within 1 day saying that they’ll record my votes. I guess everyone else could do the same if they haven’t got their voting forms through from them.
