It make be a trite thing to say, but it was very clear that the Mongolians present at the H1 opening ceremony were very keen and happy to have their photos taken in front the well gear, doing handprints with the first oil etc. They want this to be their show so I also see some sort of incoming strategic commitment to MATD's development as a more likely outcome. I suspect Mike Buck pushed the real threat the Chinese pose to their plans to restructure their economy, starting with oil, and the Mongolians finally realised that supporting MATD at this juncture waqs very much in their own interests. I think MB has played a PR blinder here.

The Chinese have been aggressively mopping up weaker countries' resources for decades now (Cf central Africa and elsewhere). I think the Mongolians realised that not supporting MATD sufficiently ran the risk of them losing control of their own resources at exactly the point where they need them. The whole stated point of the refinery is to wean their economy off its dependence on China.

I think that is exactly the Mongolian's thinking.

I'm agnostic on the Petro China angle, but i do feel the Mongolians got spooked by the prospect of PC taking control of the block that they actually got their finger out to give MATD the chance of going it alone. There has to be a good reasons for the Mongolians suddenly getting their collective backsides in gear to help MATD get some income to see them through the winter. The change in attitude by the Mongolians was so sudden that my theory is that something sparked it. Just a theory of course.

Yes, I agree that patience will pay off here eventually. Some longer-term holders are naturally frustrated that the step-change in the company's becoming a producer of oil would have been an endgame for the investment in the company. But for me the investment case remains compelling, especially now, and again I congratulate Mike Buck on steering the company to this point in what is clearly a very challenging place to do business. Of course there are risks but, in spite of my awful experiences with Arthur Millholland over at COPL, I actually beleive Mike Buck is one of the good guys in terms of trying to protect shareholders' investment. I might be wrong on that, but he has got this company to this point with a healthy debt profile and without rxploding the share count out of all proportion (cf Sanderson at UKOG). As bigbench often says, very little is priced in here at this Mcap so all to play for.

I apologise to all holders here for my recent attempts to disrupt this board. I was angered initially by a poster from here regularly coming over to do the MATD board to spread unfounded and ill-informed FUD. I have no idea why they felt the need to do this but this is their issue and I should not have reacted. I have always been dismayed that this seems to happen on every board I've ever followed and this time I thought I would retaliate in kind for once. I accept that I should have been bigger than this and I actually dislike what is happening to the world generally with this kind of online trolling and spreading of disinformation. I genuinely think this kind of behaviour is having a devastating effect on civil society and it worries me. It was therefore hypocritical of me to then get drawn into exactly this sort of negative behaviour I usually condemn. This will be my last post on this board and I wish holders here all the best.

Yup. straight into the red this morning. This really does look dodgy, the anonymity, the ridiculous claims (from a piece of scrub to a billion dollar mcap!!1), the endless ramping of nothing on here. There is literally nothing to invest in. A few pictures, a piece of paper, lots of outlandish promises and some tweets. Er, that's it.
