Ahfam, could be patents but the drug could be fast-tracked because of unmet needs. Why wait for the patent before kicking it off into P3. None of it adds up. The only other reason is the data isn't as good as they said it was. We said last year we will know soon and we still don't know. That why I think there is a complicated deal being worked.

Do Gilead need Mom whatever? Better to spend £500 million buying overall rights to SRA737. It could be worth 10 x that if successful and the first year's sales would pay for itself. As I said, I may be way off the mark but commercial\MA could definitely hold up the development.

I don't know. Like I said. There is no logical reason to sit on it. If the data is as good as they have always made out. It shouldn't be hard to find the cash to progress it. The only thing I can think of is some commercial/MA reason? What if Gilead, for example want full ownership not just a licence. For a relatively small amount they could acquire it, lock stock.

it's a non starter. Tim has been asked on numerous occasions. It would be a good use of available funds. From personal experience, I have never gained from a consolidation. I have only ever lost. You lose a bit in the transaction then they hit you with a placing is the usual tactic. If we were trading on fundamentals, id say yes but SAR is IP and potential. We are worth what ever that is worth.

If VC's came on board. How could that work, I mean, presumably they'd want a chunky piece of 1801 for the risk? Would we be happy to give them 10% of 1801 future earnings for say £10 million? Could we give them options, as we do for directors? 10 million shares at 10p. I know the maths doesn't work out, they are just examples. I'm curious of the different options without diluting our shares by another 20%

There are two hurdles. The safety profile. Tim seems very confident if this and the Covid work will greatly speed us to the point where we are giving the compound to humans. The second hurdle is efficacy and this will take longer, much longer. I'm sure have some compelling data that they are sharing but it either not compelling enough or we want a higher price than pharma is willing to pay. Personally, I think we will end up with a low up front and large backend. That is unless we take it into P1 ourselves. An ideal scenario would be Sierra getting their act together, which would see our SP rise and then we could raise at maybe 3p?lots of ways to look at this and not many of them are negative.

I sort of agree with you but If 1801 shows efficacy for treating Covid or any ARDS related illness. The worldwide market is still in the blockbuster category. It's a big If but the good news is, it is going to cost us very little to find out. The other good news is, as other have stated. The preclinical work and P1/2 trials (if we get that far) will fast track the compound for other indications. If all goes well, we will know by the end of the year if 1801 is safe for humans and we'll also have data on its efficacy. The time for big bio to get it cheap is now.

I've held and traded approx 15% of my holding for a few years now. Sold £5k worth @2.96p before Christmas. I do regret not buying more over the years though but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I've currently got 2.8 million. Don't really want to go less than that but if there was a spike. I might go sown to 2 million.
