The quantum thing was a joke but yes. The clinical work isn't shortened and we still have to wait for that to finish. No corners cut but you jump through all the regulatory hoops at the same time as the clinical work. So when you have the desired results, you are not waiting another three months for the CTA to be assessed and approved. This is exactly how the vaccines were produced so quickly. Multiple teams working on different parts of the problem. The IT people here will know all about Agile when talking about projects. You react to changes as they happen. I'm an IT Service Manager. We have strict processes to follow. Chane Control, testing, Documentation, Project Management. It can take weeks, if not months to make a change. However, If there is a Major Incident affecting a thousand users. I chair a technical bridge meeting with all stakeholders, networks, infrastructure, directors etc... Everyone gets a task and between us, we can turn something around in 8 hours rather than 3 weeks. No technical corners are cut in the process. This only happens because cost is no longer the driving factor, the solution is. Granted, no one dies as a result of my job but that's how it can be done.
