The only news that is guaranteed to get the SP moving upward is an offer for the company at a premium. We are expecting relatively good y/e figures in the second half of the month but will it increase the SP. I think not because it's all based on sentiment and buy/sell demand. Is there going be rush of new investors... unlikely. How are we going to get to 50p and a valuation of approx £260- 270m?. Not for a while in my view.

It's worth remembering that the success of DX relies on the success of it's customers and everyone from Big Box retailers to shipping companies like Maersk are reporting a significant downturn in business despite the easing of some supply chain issues.The economic headwinds are horrific and if DX achieve their stated dividend ambitions I for one will be presently surprised.

The DX boardroom must be a busy place.... still no notice of a shareholders meeting or CEO appointment. Seems bit strange to me. !

It's very unlikely Ron Series can survive. There are probably discussions going on behind the scenes regarding his 23m share options under the PCP. Quite surprised we haven't had an announcement regarding the new or caretaker CEO. Someone mentioned the return of Lloyd as CEO. Is that possible... it is at some point.... nothing surprises in the DX soap opera.!!

DX updated their website notification of major shareholders as at 16 September.

We see that Lombard have increased their holding to 8.1% from 5.01% and Schroders also increased their holding only by 1.3% to 5.66% from 4.36%

Not surprising really. Ron Series had responsibility for Corporate governance and I thought his position was completely untenable. This CG issue will probably result complete board change and it's quite hard to fathom the previous board's naivety regarding the implications of the GC issue and attitude to the previous auditors.I hope a EGM isn't necessary as in my opinion he should go gracefully. It's amazing how experienced business men with access to best legal advice can get it so wrong. Anyway... the decks should now be clear.

If you care to read my posts I have never said DX is a bad investment. Quite the opposite. I don’t believe that discussions boards should become fan clubs. I am realist and a pragmatist and just put over my points of view and opinions like everyone does. If you don’t like what I have to say then I think you can filter me. However, if regular readers and posters on this board would rather I didn’t post on this board the I am happy not to do so.They can leave a reply here and I won’t take offence.

Sister.... you are right to bring up lloyds share options. I think there may be a the possibility of a private agreement between DX and Lloyd about this exercising as DX have specifically mentioned the dilutive effect.It seems to me that the restoration of the dividend is pretty close to the top of DX's priorities which of course would benefit him. There's a lot of positive talk after the lifting of the suspension and of course it's in everyone's interest to talk them up and I for one all things considered don't think it will be such a walk in the park. I have no idea what the share price will do but I'm not quite as optimistic.

Slightly surprised that we hardly get any notice of a lifting of the suspension. Ian Black has now gone so its just Ron Series left of the original board. Not really surprised that the traders have got involved this morning as the markets over reacted as they always do. I'm not a trader myself so I won't join the party but for those relatively new to share dealing there is a lot to learn from what is going on now. It's good that we are getting 2022 results in a month or so, so we can see the direction of travel. Anyway we are in a far better position than talk of delisting, taking private and it remains to be seen if the absence of Lloyd our saviour is as bigger loss as has been implied.

So after the announcement yesterday it looks like it's onwards and upwards with the parcels express offering.just a continuation of the strategy.It also looks like it's an extension of some form of sub-contract agreement as sbl are a courier in their own right. Perhaps those with logistics experience have comment ?

Only slightly relevent to DX. Amazing news from royal mail this morning, projected to lose £1m per day and associated job losses. it's quite obvious they don't have a business model that is fit for for purpose in this day and age notwithstanding the terrible relationship they have with the CWC. The competition we know about and Evri are really getting their act together and I've noticed more people using them in my world to the exclusion of Royal mail. Royal mail did mention a decline in people sending parcels whether that's with them or generally I don't know. What it does tell us though is how difficult the general trading situation is. We should be thankful that DX are profitable predominently through freight but i'm still intrigued as to their plans for express parcels and how it will all work out.

I'd agree that he probably feels his work his done. There's not much more he can do. I also think any potential CEO whether it be Paul Ibbetson or whoever wouldn't be that pleased at having an interventionist fund on the board. I should think an announcement on a new CEO and additional non exec is not that far away.

I think the Ikea reach announcement is good news. It underpins what seems to be a good relationship with Ikea who will be an important customer. Ikea is one of the few retailers expanding at the moment although moving towards smaller stores in it's growth strategy rather than the big warehouse type offerings. It remains to be seen how that strategy plays out though.

Yes APTM it will be an interesting watch but I'm looking forward to the 22 results. However we can all and I do take some comfort in the relative strength of DX's financial position as we know it. The AIM is awash with more numerous stories of companies drowning in dept, struggling in the downturn, lack of business confidence with many looking for strategic partnerships and ways to fundraise.

Yes FJ I am fully aware of that. The only point I was making that if you are running a business and an aspect of it is declining then it is "disappointing" which is what I stated in my post. I don't see how it can be anything else. One would of thought there would be a plan to deal with it. Or is it just heyho.. we'll keep ploughing along as it's no its problem freight will make up for it. It's just an opinion FJ and the world is just full of them .!

It's just my view FJ. I run a business myself and if a sector was "declining as expected" I would be taking steps to mitigate it. Rather that blaming it on the economy, trading conditions or whatever doesn't really cut it in my view. You can't just shrug your shoulders and say that's the way it is.Only by doing something you change it and I can't see how DX in detail really plans to deal with it. It's Just my view ,your view is equally valid.

I'm not to bothered when the suspension is lifted as long as it is. In my view no amount of trading positivity 21/22 or news is going to overshadow the current geopolitical and economic situation. DX have just about ridden out the storm of their own making and hopefully they will have the resources to ride out the horrific economic storm that is heading our way. If we trade around 30 or so on lifting I'm favouring exit as the investment climate is way to risky for me currently and I think there will be further buying opportunity down the line with DX.

Well DX have made all the right noises this morning and a RNS that should satisfy the institutional shareholders. A return to Dividend and Share buyback to reduce the dilutive effect of share options etc.. particularly Lloyd. There seems to be a steady as she goes continuation of the current strategy that will be a welcome relief for all although the fall in DX exchange/Mail is disappointing and it will be interesting to see how that is addressed. Does it make it more likely there will be a internal promotion of Paul Ibbetson to CEO - maybe yes as Dx freight continues to be the big success story. We're not out of the woods yet of course as we await news on AIM relisting but for the first time in a long time I'm a little more comfortable with DX.

Maybe ATPM. The situation is that if Dx are looking to appoint externally its's unlikely they are going to find a potential CEO sat around doing nothing. Anyone of any quality would have substantial notice period I would think. Paul Ibbetson may be good option I don't know.. perhaps even as interim CEO. Any appointment though may give us a clue as to the strategic thinking.
