Well I hope your right Ozzie.I think the aftermath of Brexit and Increasing unemployment will last considerably longer than two months. In my view at least two Years. Govt Debt exceeds GDP and it ain't getting better if there is a no deal Brexit. If it was a company in this position it would be an entirely different conversation. The financials are horrendous for the economy.

In theory Begbies should profit from the economy and share interest but who knows to what extent. For me I have moved most of my investments into funds and stocks in Asia and the USA. Too much uncertainty in Europe for me. Good Luck everyone.

Well the mood music is depressing. It's in both parties interests to reach a deal and it's a complete failure of statecraft on both sides not to reach a deal. In the time they've had it is unthinkable we are in this position. Politics gets in the way of common sense but hasn't that always been the case.

Germany and France seem to be intransigent but I should imagine that the smaller states are piling on the pressure on Barnier et al to reach a deal especially those that rely on a lot of trade with the UK. Can the second biggest econonmy in the world survive without a close relationship with its second biggest economy member. I can't see it.

Unless a rabbit is pulled out of the hat I think it will be carnage next year and it's just sad.

As for Begbies, I'm in two minds. They'll be busy but I think the Govt will end up supporting the economy for a lot longer than they currently think. All my opinion of course.

Yep, I agree. It will be interesting to see if any of the other directors follow suit as they have a history of regular buys. If they do I'll probably raid the piggy bank . Holding fire though to see what blustering Boris comes up with as that will probably affect general sentiment.

Anon, Quite right. What I have been saying for months. No one has the slightest interest in the share. Good figures and not a titter. 3.5% down at the time of writing.

Quite simply there is no volatility to the share which is essential if you wish to make money on the SP. There is negligible risk and reward scenario.Begbies have have favourable winds for well over a year and there is a very small standard deviation in that time. Future growth is priced in as all ways as it's not hard to predict what position Begbies will be in 6 months from now. If you want a safe place for your money with a reasonable dividend then fine but it's the wrong share for SP growth. I've not been wrong in the last 8 months or so, hopefully I'm wrong next year.

The brexit shambles will help profitability but lack of big institutional interest and investors tells us all we need to know.

I'm a shareholder but not a poster as I've had my fill of posting on boards and being shouted down just because I may have a contrasting view to the consensus. However, I thought that was one of the best investor presentations I've seen for while.

Been invested here for a short while. Pleased to see DX has it's first listing on third party site Parcel2Go. I use that platform alot as I send about 3K parcels a year. Competive prices with UPS,DHL, DPD so obviously looking for in roads in the the domestic standard parcel market as well as IDW. They don't quote for overseas in Europe that so I wonder if there are any plans a foot to do that or partner with a european carrier as that is a obvious opportunity. Suppose that may be up in the air with Brexit uncertainties.

Sentiment has driven this share to the dizzy heights of a £1 plus. Sentiment has changed and now all the focus in the media is on the vaccine. it's only natural that sentiment will change direction whether testing is needed or not hence the drop in SP had to be expected.If you listen closely to the investor presentation CK seems far more bullish on the CD4 and Food intolerance tests in China etc and he has stated that this is where he seems his greatest revenue moving forward especially where they have the only product with IP protection. He's made a point of saying they are not just a Covid company. For me, I can't see a Covid based spike on the horizon.

I'm not a regular poster but Merchant Bankers post is in my opion spot on. The diagnostics industry will absolutely be transformed by this pandemic as will the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries worldwide. The devastation this pandemic has caused will livelong in the memory.

Well, i enjoy a bit of banter TU but I only ever comment on my view of the company never another poster. There is nothing wrong in doing a 180.I never " leave a share"but am constantly monitoring any information I can find and it shapes my judgement and I make decisions all the time. Don't tell me you believe all the crap the the industry tells you, that's precisely why Private investors generally lose to the benefit of the industry insiders. Please enlighten on what other shares I have done a 180 on... not that it matters.

Most on boards just give arbitary predictions on what the SP will be without any reasoning at all or based on nothing more than business is good and they are making money. I've learn't that ratios, dividend yield can mean next to Zip if there is no demand for their shares. At least I give my reasoning...... some might think it's rubbish and some might think it holds water.

Take today.....Could the news have been better.Barely a million shares traded and there may have been more sells than buys. It's certainly close..

That's nice TU. Personal comments aren't really necessary. Can't you respect someone else's perspective. Are you someone who critcises someone else when they don't agree with you but have an inkling they may just have a point. Begies have been in a strong position for the last year. Financials have been excellent and there has been no SP growth in that time.
I don't call that fickle...... It makes perfect business sense if I don't see any change in sentiment to the share.
The results are good as expected and it's good to see a rise for the holders.

Whether it will be sustained to 1.20 is debatable. I'm more inclined to see a drop to the mid 80's imminently as history suggests. There has been no spectacular buying today although I spotted one for £180K which is interesting.

Recently invested here. After researching I found this an exciting proposition. Turnaround play, knowledgeable experienced team in place, directors buying and consideration to a revised dividend policy after a return to profitability and clear plan and strategy in place. Ideal for a reasonably cautious 50 year old.

I never thought I'd go from being positive about the share to completely negative in 48 Hours but I have. Some will know that it's been a tug of war for me between the financial stability, profitability and dividend growth against complete lack of interest and demand for the shares from investors both institutional and private alike.

So whats put the tin lid on it. We'll I've been in marketing all my working life and and I always look at things from that view point. There is no textbook right way to market a business just what works and what doesn't. The tie up with the Welsh Rugby League team doesn't make sense to me in the slightest.. What does it achieve ( Tickets for the boys, Advertising Hoardings, a mention in the programme) How is that part of focussed strategy. It's like placing an ad in the paper and hoping someone reads it and gives you call. I can undertand the tie up with a chamber of commerce... but this.
Suely the continued empasis has to be tie ups with banks, financial institutions, accountants etc I cannot believe they have stoopped to.... "lets get our name out there". Surely, their core clientele know who they are.

Where's Ric. Whilst I'm at it if you trawl the net following Begbies around a name that crops up more than ever is Gerald Krasner (Ex Leeds FC) videos of him abound. A 70+ year old accountant whose obviously been round the block a few times you'd think he was the face of Begbies.( I'll say no more).Why is Ric who I think is a great bloke not around in these things. is he taking a back seat.

Check out the rant about Begbies on you tube. Someone has a beef with them. 7.5K views in two weeks. Not great PR.....

What are Begies or Andrew Dunn who looks after marketing doing about it.. ???. What do the PR team in London actually do ?

The website. I am a great fan of videos, but the video is hard to find halfway down the landing page is as dull as dishwater. Where's the confident, knowledgable Ric. Whose the website for: Accounts, Companies, Asset Sales, Reporting... My view is it's a shambles..

I can't see a coherent strategy. I don't see any dynamism and don't see any intention to take this business to the next level.

Anyway I have sold today making around 3.5% concluding that it is not a share for me moving forward. Best wishes to everyone else as I think you will make some money.

Here's how I' am seeing it. Biden win, vaccine news, positive mood music about a last minute Brexit deal on the face of it giving confidence for the economy moving forward. Sentiment wise perhaps not so good for counter cyclical stocks. Considering historic prices, support levels, financials If this falls another 5% or so with current sentiment I'm topping up. I have every confidence in Begbies providing dividend and share price growth. Even if the above all fall into place the enormous deficit will have to be paid for and for me business will pay most in taxes etc. Most will have to become to be become much more efficient
in their operations. Plenty of work for Begbies. Anyone else have a view. ?

Barlew. Welcome to the board and best wishes with your investment. It's nice to have a new poster to the board... sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself. I agree with the moral aspect of all this and you have to feel for the current turbulence but that's life and someone's got to do it.In my opinion you are on a sound footing with Begbies. They are pretty financially secure and profitable but the real question is how this affects the SP. I've said many times on this board that they struggle for demand of their shares as financials are not particularly sexy or interesting. I have confidence that will change but I do think in this climate and their product offering they should have a much better marketing/PR strategy in place. I met chairman Ric Traynor many years ago on a non business matter and I found him to be a thoroughly nice chap and a bright boy and he was one of the reasons I invested. I also think the focus is more on dividend growth than SP growth but good luck to you and all invested.

Well, surprising announcement of extended furlough to end of march and BOE injection. An indication of how bad things are and will be, or is it a sweetener to a no deal brexit that seems closer than ever. USA seems a shambles whatever the result and the markets will be as unpredictble as they can possibly be in my view for a while. For me cash is king. Still positive on Begbies though.

Anyone in trading or investing will be used to losing money. After all it is researched or non researched gambling as the case maybe.(I've lost a lot over the years) but I've enjoyed it all. If I didn't enjoy it I certainly wouldn't be doing it..

I appreciate that it's not nice losing money but it is a fact of life. I learn't many years ago not to take it massively seriously because common sense rarely applies to stock prices. But everyone's different.Au Revoir.

Well the RNS makes for grim but predictable reading and should continue to ensure a steady stream of work for Begbies. I'm looking forward to some updates from Begbies to see what they they are doing to take advantage of the situation rather than we are busy fellas. There must be so much opportunity for them.

The covid situation is of course worrying but the govt will have to continue to support as best they can as if they don't it will be political suicide and we all know that keeping their jobs and voting the themselves a pay rise is always the highest on the politicians "to do" list.

Praying for a Brexit deal, but fear if there is no form of agreement the markets will be in turmoil. I've sold most of my portfolio apart from Beg and TAM and kept the cash ready waiting for that news. I actually think the next few months will be really exciting in the stock market.....plenty of opportunity to make and lose money but ain't that the fun of it fellas.

With my portfolio head on I'm pretty pleased the mood music as regards Brexit is pretty positive but I do think that a no deal brexit and the carnage it will bring will last along time until the new ways of doing various things become established. So for me a Brexit deal is the most important pressing concern. I take a different view on trump/biden. Trump is too unpredicatable and I think there will be a bounce worldwide once he is out. The penny should drop in small town America that he just a buffoon full of bravado and his America first policy has done little for the average american
