According to market screener - Lloyd Dunn has increased his holding since the 14 January from 61,690 to 61,949. Approx 250K increase. Ron Series 2,250 to 2,345. Increase 95K. Paul Goodson reduction 0.58% to 0.51%. Don't know if the info is correct as no form of RNS but this is how market screener records have changed.

Gatemore down from 31.22% to 24.3%
Hargreave Hale 18.8% transferred to Cannacord Gratuity. ( Same company though)
Ruffer 5.2% to 4.99% ( Sold about 1.3m)

Unless I am mistaken and missed it last time Hargreaves Lansdown stockbrokers have taken a position at 5.8%.

Agreed. It does seem odd that Gatemore have reduced their holding so much. I don't think there is anything negative about it. They do look for turnarounds and probably just taking some profit and as you say it's still a healthy holding and there will be plenty of options for them. Lombard Odier does interest me. Although not a huge holding I wonder why they have got involved. DX only operate in UK and Ireland. Not a huge market, a saturated one but not without opportunity. I'm still thinking dividends and wonder if a move to the main market is in the plans. Anyway it seems Lombard are here for journey and so am I.

OK. So we now know whats been going on. Gatemore have sold about 7% to 24% and Lombard at 5 ish %. It's all a bit clearer.

Lombard are pretty conservative and long term which as I said before makes a sale less likely in my opinion. But good news though

I think this is excellent news. in view of this I'll stick my neck out and say that I think the sale of the company is less likely. Certainly this year. I'm more inclined to think dividends may be in the thinking.

More large trades today. It would seem something is going on behind the scenes. Maybe Gatemore or Lloyd are unloading or perhaps stellar increasing.?. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Yep, good to see. increased my holding over the past few days. Looking forward to the update in February although no firm date. 150 operations/diver vacancies on the website. 7.5t drivers can virtually write their own cheque in this climate.

Yep, substantial deposit paid. What a **** up..... obviously Begbies are putting a positive spin on it but something has gone badly wrong. Same in the summer with someone else. Blame the joint administrators..... I'm sure Begbies are regretting getting involved.

Good to see some SP growth and a bit of increased volume and interest. Beg have quite a tailwind so hopefully this will continue.

Looks like we are on the verge of a Brext deal. Has common sense prevailed.... it would seem so.

How will this affect Begbies... in terms of work not a lot but it will certainly affect market sentiment.

I'm the primary guilty party when it comes to banging on about there being no interest in the share. There may be interest but there hasn't been people putting money where their mouth is. Even when it's recommended there is barely a ripple and since the last two positive financial updates volume is pathetic and the SP has done next to nothing. It may change of course.

Knowing what is supposedly coming in waves there is no great recruitment drive ( I can find 4 Jobs), indeed there has been insolvency vacancies in Mancester and Preston offices that they haven't filled in months. With possibly 3 to 4 staff at some offices.... how much headroom for new work is there because they don't seem to be getting prepared for it. This is why to me they think "small" in its broadest term are there is no desire to grow the business to compete with the big boys that will attract the big money and generate the interest and volatility in the SP. They have financial headroom which I think will focus on acquisitions moving forward especially if there isn't the interest to fulfil their own vacancies. There are other divisions of course and revenue streams but for me it doesn't feel like a company that is going to go out there and grab the opportunities that will undoubtedly present themselves. More like a company that has found a profitable business model that works, pays a reasonable dividend and are happy with that. (All my opinion)

I do hope I am wrong and one day it reaches 1.20+. Most of the people on here are honest and will have invested for what would be considered the right investment reasons and I hope it comes off for you all. Merry Christmas.

Well, like I mentioned we send about 4K parcels a year. Use all the major carriers. Everyone is completely flat out unsurprisingly. I've got to know my local postmaster really well and he was saying how Royal Mail can't cope. We know that. Traditional post offices are small and not designed for parcel storage and he has piles of bags of packages in his kitchen and he even had to put two bags in his car before a parcel force collection. They only forsee it getting worse and he thinks there will be a lot of changes with a focus on package delivery. After all they make no money on lettered post hence the 12% increase in first class stamp prices iminently.

There has to be some consolidation in the industry moving forward and a few taken over.

Let me throw a name out there.................Amazon. ?. They are using most of the major carriers already.

Started using DX recently for our business. After all I have to support my investment... all good so far.

It will be interesting to see how this develops. The guys in charge are turnaround experts with a history of selling businesses so it is more likely than not that this is in their thoughts moving forward... after all they are no spring chickens...( No disrespect)

This is the unknown. Dilution will come next year for shareholders with the exercising of warrants on the assumption there is SP growth. I wonder if this is currently factored in.

My own view is that there will be another placing / fund raise by the end of the first quarter next year.

Incidentally, I'm not a shareholder. Just researching the share for a younger family member who is interested in it.
