Ops vacancies up to 320. If DXF is DX freight and DXE is DX Express then vacancies in the freight division are twice as many as those in the express division as per website. I'm sure freight will need more bodies but it's an interesting snapshot to consider.

I agree Chelsea. Growth at Speed though does worry me though. It's OK putting the infrastructure in place but putting the operations in place takes time. So many driver vacancies does concern me a little. It's the worse thing in the world to have more business than you can effectively deal with
especially when when you are making ambitious promises to customers. Confidence in the team though..... they know better than me.

As a user of DX express I have to say that I think there is still quite a lot that needs putting in place.

I've sent quite a few parcels with them and although the delivery service has been exemplary the marketing aspect needs improving on. I've sent sufficient number of parcels that I would of thought it would register with someone that I might be someone worth contacting to ensure my continuing business. I remember a few years ago when I fist starting using DHL ad hoc the DHL driver was very proactive I think on his second visit to collect, in referring me to his office for an account and better prices. Nothing from DX in the 3 months I have been using them. Maybe it's because we have a DX self employed driver but in any event they know I am a regular customer.

Currently DHL are about 80p cheaper on next day on the parcels I send. As I have shares in DX I will use them but If I wasn't a shareholder would I use them. I'm not sure. DHL are their major competitor on next day certainly for me. I don't how DX pricing stategy will develop but If they want to take market share from DHL and UPS they certainly need a service that is better and more cost effective than the other two with added need of developing brand awareness.. Bearing in mind the size of DHL, like I said before it's big ask and a lot of responsibility for DX growth lies in depot and localised sales teams.

I don't say this as a shareholder but as someone sat in my office choosing carriers that will benefit my business both operationally and financially. I still have faith though.

Well, I'd be surprised if those were director buys Chelsea. As I understand it is 3% and disclosure to the company by the buyer must be within two days and company then must disclose via RNS I think with in 3 trading days after notification. So plenty of time left.

There are other possibilities.

1) The information displayed on LSE was simply wrong.

2) Although the combined is over 3% they were two transactions at the same amount of shares. As Pianista says it lends us to believe it is same purchaser. It may be but it may be not. It maybe two separate funds or it may two separate entities in which case disclosure doesn't have to be made.

I guess we'll find out. Anyway if they were buys from whoever that may be... it's a good sign.

Chelsea... Not sure. I don't think he has shares in the company so he probably thinks like a driver and we think like Investors. He's been busy and probably wants a break so it's wishful thinking. We all know the shift to on-line and with all the doom and gloom from the British Retail Consortium over anticipated 30% store closures not to mention John Lewis very downbeat assessment of life moving forward there will be substantially less bricks and mortar stores to spend our money without substantial government intervention to save the high street.

My dealings with Dx have been exemplary and I use them and UPS for my UK express deliveries. DX have never let me down on next day when UPS have quite a bit. Only to be expected though as currently UPS will handle substantially more than DX I would think.

"Delivered Exactly" has a customer expectation attached and for me it's quite an ask especially in Express and certainly as they grow.

Operations vacancies on the website have increased from 220 to 270 in one week (it was 150 in January) and about 100 drivers needed. Business is good or a lot are leaving.

My buys also have been showing a sells. Pleased to see DX are starting to get their admin in order. I've been using them quite a bit and for the first time I've started getting e-mails confirming collection and customers are getting e-mails advising of delivery between 8am - 6pm. and rebooking if not in. Anyway that shows increasing efficiency. Our DX driver said they were still busy although thought his workload would reduce a bit as society and shops open up a bit . Maybe there is bit of negative sentiment because of this that is stagnating the SP a bit. Not stopping some substantial buys recently though I've spotted.

I don't have an opinion... I have an onion.... Time will tell if my onion is correct. !

We are now at a yearly low share price in spite of positive news, excellent half year results, significantly ahead in H2 trading of the previous year and extremely positive statements from the directors. Were we over valued in the mid thirties.... well not in my opinion as I've been buying this week although my opinion doesn't matter. As Pianista says we've got to have faith in the management. I don't have a crystal ball remotely as good a Pianista's but in my onion the SP will fluctuate around 28 to 33 for a good while and any growth may come further positive sentiment RNS re depots or PMDR purchases of course. Who Knows.

I remember listening to an investment seminar and some one said if you find a good company with director skin in the game... sit tight.

I'm sure parcelsman has some views but isn't the opportunity for IDW and Freight far greater. Tuffnells who seem to be their major competitor made a pre tax loss in 2019 of £29M and have obviousbly been in some difficulty over that period and have been in the midst of a strategic review. DX would seem to be in the box seat.

Non Exec buying is obviously positive. £50K isn't that much but of course he didn't have to buy.

It seems to me then that Dx have much more opportunity for continued growth in Freight and yet DX are focussing more on growth in B2C with the announcement of the 8 new depots for express. I like the business plan in relation to devolved accountability and sales but at the end of the day b2c is very price driven. So effectively they are expanding into a market where margins are tight. It seems to me that their strategy in express is to provide an essentially better, quicker and more efficient service than anyone else. I'd also be interested in your comments as to why DX don't currently have a great european offering certainly for people lke me in B2C. They dont have the might and infrastructure of someone like DHL but partnership opportunities with the likes of EMS and GLS I might have thought were a possibility. Perhaps they just want to focus on Uk and Ireland.

I think most of the takeovers you talk about happend 4/5 years a go and parcel delivery requirements have increased substantially since then with the continued rise of on -line transactions. There seems to be plenty of business for everyone. I speak as user of all these companies and they all have their good points. DPD for me in terms of cost and relaibility have been the best for Europe deliveries of what I do. UPS, parcelforce and DHL for UK are all pretty good for UK and our Fed Ex driver admitted that Fed Ex focus is primarily the American market. DHL made a mistake in my view rebranding UKmail to DHL Parcel UK. Its different service to DHL, different drop off points and it's just confusing to me as end user.

So why do I use Dx.. Firstly I have to support my investment. Secondly I really like the way they they devolve responsibility and accountability to regional teams and hubs. I remember trying to negotiate a contract with DHL a couple of years ago. They wouldn't send anyone out to me and I had to deal with some central sales base in Derby I think and theyproceeded in sending me a contract with all sorts of financial info and estimated fuel charges when I would have rather have just has a rep visit me.Enough of my story.

Back to figures. Dx freight results are astounding given the lockdown and how it has affected business.

My view on dividends.

Personally. I think it is on the cards.. they must be thinking about it if profitability is maintained.
Sale of Dx - Maybe/ Maybe not .I don't know but the people at the top will have have an exit strategy.

I think there is come validity to what you say. Dx have been a b2B business so it's not really comparing like with like if we compare financials against logistics companies that are primarily b2c. Dx freight is growing and eight planned new depots for express show they see growth in B2C.
I send 3k to 5K parcels per year to domestic customers and it's only in the last three months that DX have had any proactive exposure to people like me.

R, I feel for you and I guess many people feel the same. Everything is so uncertain, new president in the USA, GB in huge amount of debt, Crytpo Circus, conflict between USA and China, etc etc and Covid threat in the background. There is so much uncertainty and I'm not suprised you feel that way. I do to. Market uncertainty is set to continue for a good while yet so you have to do what is right for you. As for me I just invest in what I consider solid companies and just ride out the storm.

Well P. Dark Arts are always in play especially on the AIM. Mm's have to provide a market, liquidity etc. They know there are traders and investors who have shares with different timescale and return objectives. The over riding objective though is to make money. Not only for us but them as well. We all knew what was coming, it was sign posted so if it was going to rise it will have done so well before now on the update which I think it did slightly from memory. I can't remember many shares that have increased on the production of good figures when it was well known what was coming. If it was that easy we'd all be millionaires many times over. Just my opinion.

I think alot of holders were probably expecting SP growth knowing good results were coming but in my experience it never happens. The market makers know that and never fail to disappoint.

Well, all positive RNS are welcome. 20,000 sqt feet thought is pretty small in the grand scheme of things with a rent of about £120K PA. It is indicative of the business plan for DX express, increased flootprint, localised efficient service and if they are aggressively going after next day business the only way it can reasonably work profitably is lots of local depots. They seem to be really going after market share against UPS, DHL etc. Got to admire them and if they start making inroads they'll be a target for someone especially with the variety of revenue streams in logistics.
