Do not anyone be fooled by traders with ulterior motifs, this is a sound business with exponential growth on a whole new level, do not lose sight of that.
Really good of them to update shareholders of further progress whilst we await the full year results. Absolutely delighted. For those not reading the RNS properly.
Key points for me: -
1. “In the medium-term, Novacyt expects to leverage its reputation, market intelligence and relationships developed during the COVID-19 response to commercialise new products, as well as expand its presence in respiratory and transplant clinical diagnostics, to continue to meet significant unmet market needs.”
Brilliant – so build up a massive network of sellers, resellers, distribution networks around the world and when you release a new product you can gain critical mass quickly as a result – Love the strategy.
2. “submitted 15 new patents”
Wow, Wow and Wow again – they continue to innovate
3. Care Homes – “The clinical accuracy of Novacyt's NPT system was found to have >99% clinical sensitivity and specificity when compared to a standard central laboratory system” and “the clinical trial is being expanded into additional settings across the UK where the Company's NPT systems are being deployed”
So, they have a virtually guaranteed PCR standard localised facility on trial in care homes and in additional settings. If I owned a care home, I would want to be 100% certain of zero Covid risk. Anything less and I am potentially responsible for killing patients. We just must wait a bit longer, but this looks VERY promising to me.
4. PROmate™ - “is a new CE Mark approved product designed to further improve the workflow efficiency” and “expected to make the system one of the quickest and easiest to use PCR platforms in its class”
Come on guys we are talking world class diagnostics here – love it
5. Scale – “Company has scaled-up manufacturing capacity for instrument production more than five-fold, with further expansion planned”
Wow – this was the part that worried me the most, great having bucket loads of orders, but can they meet the supply – clearly, they can now!!!
6. LAMP COVID-19 test and lateral flow test for Q1
With a network as big as they now have, if you are supplying quality PCR products out to the market and the market wants some LAMP or LFTs along side the order it makes perfect sense to supply that need, why not? Stops the end customer going elsewhere. NCYT can supply you with everything you need – and if its advanced on every other companies’ product even better - again brilliant.
