Alq you might be right, but who really knows, why say early 2018 instead of 1st quarter and why wait any longer than necessary ? I am not a Pharma man so cannot judge commercial advantage of announcing at a conference rather than getting on with it, with conferences being just part of the overall promotional campaign. Thks

Effective Date or Effectiveness of Agreement clause sets the date when the rights and obligations under the agreement become operational. Definitely due on the 3rd October. I think the effective date is 3rd October and most likely it has been paid but could be paid shortly or maybe never paid. Pays your money, takes your choice. It can not be on first sales as suggested, as we already have milestones that future event.

Emailed Dear Jane I wonder if you would be kind enough to clear something up for me. In your recent article about premature ejaculation (link below) you referred to sales of Fortacin soaring and yet quoted a sales figure of just 10 per week. Esco - I thought exactly the same so have already Jane Lavender at the Mirror for clarification - 10 a week is a massive disconnect with soaring and makes the author look dumb, unless there is a typo. The article is likely by Chemists 4-U, but I have no problem with that if it raises awareness.

That's a fair sniff Bignose- totally get your point, although I think free float is probably closer to 70%. There will of course have been HK retail punters involved and if there was a buyer, that for arguments sake, gave instruction to is broker to buy everything up to 70 cents , that could be one explanation for the churn amongst the retail punters, and the massive volume. It was a very strong and long share price reaction. If you are correct about it being driven by purely HK retail punters I see that also as pretty good news as it shows there is a wall of money in your neck of the woods that could jump back in to small caps like RP with a bit of news flow, broker recommendations and press comment. I guess we are all just sniffing around, passing the days !!!!!

Maven were also able to sell a 6.24% stake in the first 3 days - (c 106,000,000 shares) which was soaked up very easily. Not sure how knowledgeable HK retail punters were at the time about the sunset clause and indeed RP generally as volumes prior to the UK launch were typically only around a couple of million and at much lower price levels. I still see the most plausible explanation as being a potential suitor waiting in the wings, maybe as a result of discovering Fortacin in Recordati's pipeline, that pressed the button when the EMA approval was protected, for without that Fortacin has no value and no commercial future. However if I am wrong about that, which is probably even money, I remain comfortable because if those volumes were down solely to HK retail punters there is indeed a wall of money out there 100x the size of the AIM mkt that could come back in at any time. There have been no disclosures, so no funds or professionals holding over 5% which again is surprising with those volumes. On the expectation of a March 2017 launch, that was circa 5 months away, which is pretty much where we are now just a year later, so why no similar pick up in volumes. They may well have sold out when the time frames were changed but why is the money not coming back in and especially at these levels because as Matt points out they were buying at much higher levels right up 70 cents? Not sure if most HK punters will even know the about the earlier delays and the canister cock-up, as no interest until post Nov 2016. Retail punters also have short and selective memories- if there is money to to be made, the past is forgotten and the herd takes over. I think RP is cheap and we will see fireworks eventually. As for how well Fortacin will sell I have no idea !!!

Bignose - I don't understand the trading volumes - SS maybe correct, just some HK retail punters playing this. However, reminder of the volumes post UK launch below - if this is just retail punters there is a potentially massive wall of money that could jump in here. That's for a launch in just one territory (although granted it protected the approval) but no receipt of money was involved. 3.8 billion and impressive follow through with +350,000,000 traded on 23/24 - we get little or no follow through on positive news now. Doubt receipt will have any impact on the share price- Recordati will launch in early 2018. New news is needed.

Alq- Without wishing to split hairs, it is a little more than 8 months. In regard to your comment below to Dougue where would the study be registered ? ��The next step is validation in treated subjects, but no corresponding clinical study has been registered, so safe to say that no study is yet underway.�� I presume this is supporting your view that the study has yet to commence and the reasons for this will be the subject matter of the discussions with the FDA in Q4. Seems odd that they would wait so long to address an issue for an EMA approved drug of hardly any great complexity nor with any serious potential side effects. Might the FDA meeting be a positive indicator � and no you don�t have to answer that !

Alq - I get that, but you are assuming a totally different landscape and time frames to that announced on more than one occasion by RP. When and where did the delay in study initiation occur and why has RP not made an announcement to correct previously indicated time frames? I appreciate prior announcements have been proved incorrect., but I am trying to deal in facts before adding the speculative element.

Forgive me for interrupting your little soiree - My understanding hat as detailed ion both the Nov presentation and the Feb 2017 Factsheet that FDA approval was anticipated by Q4 2019 with a commercial launch shortly thereafter in 2020. On what basis are you suggesting that the FDA submission might be possible around the end of 2019 with approval late 2020? Perhaps I have missed an update?

When you refer to potential value, are you referring to its clinical value or its commercial value ? They are often quite different. I don't think anyone would doubt the former but why such an apparent connection to the latter with current SP, particularly in light of perceived positive developments on the DMD side?
