Chrisatrdg - I would be very careful here- DMD could all over bar the shouting and the C-Diff has failed to attract any partner interest to date. To take a drug to market costs hundreds of millions. I have already expressed my concerns about C-Diff and Big pharma so no need to go over old ground.

I agree time for a change at the top - if you are on the cusp of a cure for DMD and C-Diff why even consider diverting resources to other minor drugs by comparison?

Its not just numbers, it is also about dynamics of the market.

Fortacin can also be aggressively promoted and marketed in US (TV / radio ads, mags etc.) unlike EU.

The price action was massive from the opening - I think there was strong bid on the table for the traders to trade around.

If you were a true gambler you would buy ahead of the announcement or at least a percentage would, but we saw no interest or share price action/volume ahead of the announcement.

I think an investor with sector knowledge & recognising the commercial significance of the launch more likely than millions of Chinese gamblers.

Bignose- annual amortisation charge is UD 28 m - 6 months US 14 m plus operating expenses circa 4 m- I expect profit warning of circa US 18 m.

The 4m of milestones were recognised as income in year to 31/12/2017.

If there are any Q1 sales figures they will be separately disclosed - I am not expecting much in the way of Royalties just yet.

Is exercising options that are massively in the money the same as an outright purchase - not in my book.

Two of them even sold shares to cover the attendant tax liability- hardly a super positive signal.

What I found most odd about the reaction to the UK launch was that there was no volume or share price action ahead of the launch, after all it was not new news- the launch was known about well ahead of it happening.

The US mkt is about 5x EU, holy grail as Dr Mike described it. Multiply Recordati deal by 5 and in context of current mkt cap, should have a huge impact on SP in my opinion.

Prof Z- its not the gain on the acquisition of Ple that is being written-off.

Let me explain - lets say co A acquires co B by issuing 10 shares quoted at 10 per share . Valuation is therefore 100. When the deal closes Co A shares are quoted at 5 but Co B is still valued at the original 10. Therefore we have a gain of 50.

This is exactly what happened with RP/PLE and therefore a gain on on acquisition was recognised.

It is the original valuation of 100 (Fortacin Rights) that is being amortised over the period of acquisition to expiration of EU exclusivity.

The upfront milestones have already been recognised in the last financials although the cash was not rec'd until after the B/S date.

Announcement of US partner to license is key event, which hopefully should happen well before final FDA approval.

Bignose- its being amortised from memory over the period from RP takeover to when EU exclusivity ends - I think over 8 years in total, all pretty arbitrary in my view. It's in the valuation report.

Given the clinical data already available ,an EMA approval in place and now at last the road map to FDA approval one would hope that a US partner will rear its ugly head in the not too distant future.

Jabber- flattered you would spend so much time researching my investment history- probably better devoting it to Phe though.

In regard to Ple/RP I first started buy at 1.5 pence- you check out price now. As for Phe I sold at well above today's price at a very small loss. I could buy back in and have circa 25% more stock but I don't trust how this company is run which is why I pulled out post the Brisbane trials which were meant to be yet another milestone.

Rather than insulting people all the time, go away and work out how Phe has funded the costs of securing adequate trial data.

Matt- at least with a PDUFA date (deadline for the FDA to approve new drugs.) indicated as sometime in 2021, not looking quite so bad and an improvement on Alq's estimate of April 2023 ! If they hit these deadlines we have moved about circa 12 months from the last company overview.

Hopefully it will be viewed as positive and as I said a week ago I don't understand why was this not announced immediately ?

Bignose - whilst it is usual for company's not to make announcements during a closed period, a major event say the Production facility burning down would have to be announced and of course the profit warning is also an example of such an announcement.

The real purpose of the closed period is to prevent insiders dealing in the shares during the period.

Like yourself I am not expecting any news ahead of the results in August despite what we were lead to believe although I am always available to be pleasantly surprised !

When this eventually does go 'snap, crackle and pop' incidentally a very appropriate phrase for the Mousetrap I saw in Aussie, it will be you lot moaning loudest about all and sundry. That's normal for AIM.

Ask yourself how has the Mousetrap been kept running to deliver sufficient, reliable and verifiable data ? How have costs of securing screened tyre crumble, sorting plastics, collecting transporting and storing of the same been met?

The model is fundamentally flawed, no one want Mousetraps all over the show with waste piling up up for gasification and insertion into some form of micro hydrogen grids, presumably linking into a much larger grid.

If Gasification can be perfected and Tesside demonstrates the difficulties despite the huge sums invested it will be used to produce hydrogen on a huge scale in out of sight locations to take advantage of economises of scale both in production and distribution through the appropriate infrastructure.

This is becoming farcical and the share price is reflecting just that
