RE: Fortacin roll out and pricing2 Feb 2018 12:10
Dr Mike is working closely with Recordati on the launch so your assertion that RP has not much of a clue as to Recordati's activities or intentions, let alone influence would seem to be incorrect.
The recent profit warning of a few days ago states.
Recordati has placed its initial purchase order, and manufacturing is well advanced to achieve the commercial launch in Continental Europe on time.
Would seem to me, to indicate a production run beyond a few samples for Italy.
Menarini ran a PE awareness campaign not just in Italy but throughout Europe. It was extensive and high profile including a TV advertising campaign during the World Cup, no doubt to capture a predominantly male audience. It also incuded a cinema campaign which was also run in the UK.
Given the size of the PE addressable market, dapoxetine would seem to be both flawed and having failed to acheive
any meaningful traction, and for good reasons. Fortacin is a far superior alternative in all respects.
To claim there is no pressure on Recordati is complete nonesense, they are a listed company and everything they do comes with the pressure of providing returns for shareholders and growing the business. The exclusivity period also only runs to Novemeber 2023.
Whilst Fortacin is not Viagra, there is a common theme, they both offer treatments to normalise sexual function. I think this will be a factor in the launch considerations.
Anyway, not long to wait now.
