RE: Cheeky Drop!!!6 Aug 2018 17:05
I have said before that I like the Geology at a couple of these sites - I'm not going into precisely why as it's explained very nicely on the GGP website but you do have to have a background understanding of mineralisation (which most on here don't) - then put 2 and 2 together - just looking at drill results is not the be all and end all. But the basic premise that there is plenty of encouraging mineralisation at Havieron is very promising. This still needs needs very a complicated fieldwork, drilling, mapping, lab campaign - THEN, if this proves up - All manner of complex negotiations to get a return in this. So, just getting decent grades is only the start of the story. Finding nuggets at the surface isn't much to get excited about either - there is an army of tin pot prospectors doing this all over the Australian outback and it's seriously not something to make an investment decision on. Gervaise knows this of course but it helps him up the ramp.
I'm sick of hearing we have umpteen amazing prospects and all of them will be filthy baggers when the reality is if GH and his band of merry men manage to get one of these prospects over the line then they will have done really well and we'll all be quids in. GGP leapt (again) to tuppence on good initial results a few weeks back but nothing has moved on since, despite several attempts by GH to RNS more or less the same thing - until new news arrives then expect it to drift.
I didn't say it was going to 1p - I was merely pointing out that if it did go to -2% for a week or so, we'll be back at 1p
Don't get me wrong - I want this beast to succeed as much as the next (wo)man and would prefer to be at 2p+ but don't count your chickens.
So in answer to the questions posed.
Given the initial drill results at Havieron and the fund raise to advance the development of Paterson assets, what is your sensible honest view on those results
(Promising - yet to be proven - pile in if you like risk)
Assuming the Newmont DSG tech is as good as experts believe and it has identified a deposit at meadows
(Assume nothing - not good enough for them to invest in last time around - not as bullish here.)
Is it really going to go to sub 1p?
(Dunno, hope not, but wouldn't be surprised)
One last word - In this case the asset is important as I feel the MT is good - Heddle has a certain slippery/weasleyness that gives you absolute confidence he can put a deal together give the right asset. Given half a chance and the right numbers behind him, he'll go and do a decent deal.
