Schroders reduction29 Jan 2018 15:39
As far as I can tell, all that we know is the Schroders reduced their position from just over 6% to somewhere under 5%. We don't know if that was down to 4.99%, 2.5% or even 0%.
Sometimes asset managers need to reduce their exposure for factors unrelated to the individual companies. For example, say they had a fund and there was a big client withdrawal, they have to reduce the exposure of all holdings proportionately. Similarly, say they had just had their quarterly investment meeting and decided to halve the UK asset allocation, they have to apply that to all holdings regardless.
I may have my head in the sand, but I don't see that anything fundamental has changed.
...and you certainly don't do a massive premises build out (as IQE have) without confirmed contracts in place.
