The above can’t be too far away. I’ve no idea why there’s still a desire to say it’s arrived, they said when they were expecting it and we’ve seen a photo of it being delivered. Just be patient for the above update. Focus on the fundamentals rather than the BoD noise as that’s what will really drive the price.

Deeks is rightly critical of these tests being abused in the wrong settings, but it should be presented in the context of there being nothing better. Anyone isolating rather than spreading it has to be a good thing, but again results needs to be put in context, a negative isn’t a guarantee.

Ditto. There’s only so much hope and expectation in the tank and that ran dry months ago. It either happens or it doesn’t. If it does, lovely, if not, whatever. There’s little excitement here at all. I remember the good ol’ days whenever Bojo or Handjob mention an LFD the price would spike. Now they’re actively rolling them out to asymptomatics and I’m genuinely not fussed. The opportunity is still there. If affimers are that amazing then they’ll eventually manage to pritt stick some of them on a test.

Which saliva based antigen test would that be zoom? The one that Mologic are no longer making or the one that Orasure are no longer making? They had exclusive rights of a test that doesn’t exist, they’ve always been able to sell other tests. Given the govts comments on their own procurement notices that it’s extremely difficult to obtain LFDs, why do you think Medusa would be able to get their grubby mitts on any?

Brilliant point bandy. The agreement was for the saliva test, so assuming that’s not likely to make it to market, we’re possibly shot of Medusa. Every cloud and all....

The govt target is not actually to have vaccinated everyone in the at risk group. They’re a bunch of sneaky ****s. Much like when they achieved their 500k tests a day by chucking a load in the post, they’re actually only targeting that they’ve invited everyone in the at risk groups for a jab. So, even if they’re nowhere near making a dent on the pandemic they can just chuck of load of letters in the post and say they’ve done a great job.

Good thread RD. The 2nd post in this thread and the difference in wording is interesting... So, back in the day awacta did a deal with Bach to co-develop with Bach Biosciences. Point have also signed a deal with them. Best guess is that in order to progress they also needed to sign a deal with Awacta as they want to use Precision.

The exclusive deal was specific to radiopharmaceuticals. It's complimentary rather than competitive, otherwise they've just accidentally sold the oncology IP for a few million... As WaffAl said - 'I am very pleased to have established this partnership with POINT that allows Avacta to exploit its pre|CISION platform in a therapeutic area outside of our in-house focus on chemotherapy prodrugs'. Basically there are now 2 companies trying to commercially exploit Precision in two markets worth billions and awacta benefits from both.

Oooooh that test. Yeah it worked in the lab but not in the real world so they threw that one in the bin and started again. Hate to disappoint but we know what the delay is about. Dribble. We've now heard the same kind of thing, but for an AN sample. The same risks apply, but WaffAl is very pleased indeed in the lab. One day, ideally this century, we'll find out how it performs in the real world. Meanwhile, at least we know it can be manufactured at scale if it's a winner.
