I know expectations have been raised, but that's based on the timescales from the MHRA. Being fair, in this case, it is 100% out of Awacta's hands. If we get something this month then fantastic, but I wouldn't be 'concerned' if we didn't.

That an excellent point. The real world performance of tests that perform well only when administered by a professional versus a lay person illustrates that ease of use is key. That was clear in the innova pilot results. At the moment the govt have had no alternative than to continue with the same sampling method. After months of miserable anticipation of the next waffly update, I’m started to get excited at what’s to come again. There’s been many false dawns, but with validation data in the TU that’s due before the end of Feb, we can finally say this is the month. Squeaky bum time

We’ve been told the results will be presented against the viral loads / Ct values. This will give the insight needed in to how good the test will be in finding the most infectious. If the hospital can only provide sample from positives with a Ct of 40 then it’s a pointless exercise. I’m sure everyone involved is aware of what is required.

Thanks Chiron and for the link. I think someone quoted it yesterday, the priority order is very clear and it’s not a coincidence development was switched to an AN sample. The wishlist might as well have been written with our test in mind. It all comes down to clinical performance, if it’s also outstanding then that achieves 2 things, we’re instantly in demand with the govt and we pull up the ladder behind us as no other company will be able to get close. Moonshot is predicated on the availability of a simple to use at home high performance test. If we hit that target then it’s game on and the share price will leap. The cat in the box is wheezing, so it appears to be alive...

We’ve been told today ours is the best on the planet with 50pg/ml. We’re better than the above. Blimey.

Dribble. That’s why. They spent months struggling to get it to work and it didn’t translate outside the lab. We should have realised Prof Cheeseburger was referring to our test. You can’t blame them for going down that route though, it’s non invasive and looked to be the at home holy grail. The govt had it top of their wish list and next thing everyone’s favourite tender was relisted with saliva at the bottom of the pile. Sh.t happens. We are where we are and other pointless platitudes.

The good news is that we’re now looking like we have the best test on the planet and the manufacturing capability to take it to market. Within a month we’ll have a full update and a CE marked test. If the market hasn’t fully cottoned on yet, that suits me, it gives the chance to buy more when payday comes

The Innova test isn't inaccurate or misleading. It's just not as sensitive as the tests that are now coming through and its use has been abused. It's not a diagnostic, it's a rapid test to help with isolating those with high viral loads. Anyone that has died due to false results is not the fault of Innova, it's the govt using them in care homes etc

He can’t give any comment or clarification on what the govt are up to. It’s a good question though and it’d be nice to know how the govt could make such a mess of it
