At what point do you judge it’s true? My guess is TU Monday with no details and no mention by Bojo. Doesn’t mean it’s not true though.... I can see the jump you’ve suggested, but sold in to and back under £2. The open when Bojo or Handshandy tell the world about it, maybe double?

If revenues of £2.50 are true, then I’m sure profits of £1 a test will easily be possible. How much does a bucket load of affimers cost? Pennies? Stifel’s volumes were strangely low, but it’s a useful guide of the pattern by year and if you scale up to the capacity we think we’ll get to and think globally, £200 might look a bargain :-D

But, I still don’t believe Bojo will reveal anything on Monday. He’s setting out a roadmap that will be vague and will start with schools. He’s not going to walk out to his podium with the base pumping out, a glow stick in one hand and an Abakta test in the other. Clubs won’t be top of the list, that kind of thing won’t happen for a long while. I think Bojo spurted it out at the Q&A because he’s a buffoon not because that a key message. I get it, the issue is that PCR is seen as the gold standard. The criticism levelled at LFD is unfair as PCR isn’t the gold standard for infectivity, it’s the gold standard for diagnosis. It can tell you if you’ve got it long after you’ve been infectious, bully for PCR but as useful as a chocolate tea pot. I agree, the narrative needs to change. Talk about the false positives of PCR rather than false negatives of LFD. Even better get BAMS out there and cover all angles

It was pretty clear for me. 30 samples, half in the range 22-26, half lower. There’s no further detail on the distribution and we’ve not been told which sample was missed. Given it was just an evaluation Deeks can go whistle and pipe down until the validation is published.
