A things seem to be running behind schedule at Protos it may be that DR's move has been delayed, so it doesn't necessarily suggest that they are having difficulty finding a new CEO.

So if a bus uses say 25 k of hydrogen per day, then one DMG unit would supply enough hydrogen to keep 80 buses running, if my sums are right!

Slight confusion perhaps, so for clarification, PHE doesn't get paid for gate fees, electricity sales, nor hydrogen sales. all of the revenue goes to the SPV company that will be owning and operating the plant. Of course PHE will get a share of the SPV's profits if, and only if, PHE has a shareholding in the SPV.

I noticed that TY use "we" for the receipt of these revenues, meaning the SPV not PHE.

So it seems that Peel expect the hydrogen produced using the DMG technology will be rated "turquoise" hydrogen, which is not quite "green" but presumably not far short.

Of course we know that it will be top purity at 99.999% (five nines).

Do we know yet whether PHE will get a "green" certificate for the hydrogen that the DMG system produces?

That's the whole point about any new technology, until the first one is built, there is never a single working unit!

No manufacturing cost for PHE BT, as PHE will not be paying the cost of construction, the SPVs will.

It's always good for shareholders to have some understanding about what's going on with their company, whether it's price sensitive or not.

I'm sure Tim would organise financial close in a blink if he could, but it's not down to him, it's down to the management of the SPV, and at the moment that's Peel.

A lot of people don't seem to understand that it is not PHE who is funding the construction, installation and operation of the DMG unit at Protos.

By placing this order it shows commitment by the SPV, i.e. Peel, and not just PHE.

Good to get the RNS, but I'm disappointed that there is no detailed timeline, other than saying that the material will be worked into the chamber later in the year.

And of course PHE's first DGM (gasification) installation is targeted to be up and running at Protos in Q1 next year. I'm not sure about a direct comparison because I haven't seen much technical detail about EasyPower's system.

Thanks Malachi. Yes I had a quick look at the web site and like you I found very little info. Apart from the different feed-stocks, I just wondered how similar the actual process is to PHE's. e.g. temperature etc. Certainly no mention of hydrogen so I imagine they intend to generate electricity. Then again, I have no idea what stage of development they are at, doubtful if they are anywhere near the same level as PHE.

I wonder if anyone knows anything about this company or the pyrolysis technology that it claims to have? In particular, how the technology compares with PHE, or in fact if it even exists?

No, because it is not PHE who will be funding the construction and installation of the plant.

Dr.A: I believe that the preferred option would be to co-locate the DMG with a commercial vehicle refuelling depot so that hydrogen doesn't have to be transported but can be fed directly from production to point of use. Wherever possible, that would be the ideal situation. But whether that would be possible at Protos I'm not sure.
