I'm not sure this is telling us anything new. I believe this is an overview of what has been achieved in 2020-21, not necessarily recent events. The preliminary site clearance for the PHE site was carried out in December last year.

I very much doubt if he's "gone". Last I read he was a consultant to PHE earning several tens of thousands of £ per annum. I'm sure he won't walk away from that!

I agree with Dr. A. on this. Selling and walking away isn't the answer. It might be if it was likely that the business was going to fail, but I don't think that is the scenario here. It is lack of drive and information from the BoD. If timelines given by TY in the past are unrealistic, then the current BoD have a responsibility to issue an amendment on that, not sit back and say nothing and let the expected deadline pass.

I agree that an EGM is not ideal and we shouldn't have to be even contemplating that, but given the circumstances and total lack of info from the company, we may have no option. However, I would hope that the mere threat of an EGM might startle them into some form of action or at least communication.

I would have thought that Peel would want to achieve Financial Close before the start of COP26, but we shall see.

Boris ought to be planning to replace all of the old incinerators in the country with DMG units.

I may be wrong, but isn't there a flaw in this strategy? It's all very well saying that manufacturers must make plastic that is recyclable, but it that plastic is used for something that causes it to become contaminated such as wrapping food or a bottle containing oil, and many other such uses, then the plastic is no longer recyclable.

Presumably this was the main problem with the shipping of plastic to the Far East to be recycled, that much of it was contaminated and couldn't be recycled, which is why they (quite rightly) started returning it back to the UK.

If Peel are going to achieve financial close for the SPV by the end of this month they need to get a move on.
As far a I'm aware, so far they haven't taken up their option for UK exclusivity, so haven't paid their £500k to PHE.

They really need to **** or get off the pot.
