The MMA Vigilant is not a standard supply ship, it is a multi-purpose vessel that does offshore construction work and ROV support. So it is probably alongside the Valaris assisting with the Jadestone completion work. Here are details of the vessel:

Let's see what happens when the Normand Swan finishes loading cargo to the rig.

I sent an email to the company asking if there is going to be a December Newsletter, but haven't had a reply.

The supply ship Normand Swan is due to arrive at the rig at noon tomorrow (Saturday) UK time. Assuming she's carrying cargo for the B10, give her a day to unload to the rig, then we might see the start of the rig move on Sunday or Monday.

Perhaps some may be forgetting that Peel is not just about one DMG at Protos, but once the FOAK is done, Peel are looking a about a dozen DMGs perhaps more throughout the UK. Hopefully they won't take as long as the FOAK to get them installed.

I see that the Normand Swan has just left Darwin heading back to the rig, due to arrive late Saturday / early Sunday. I take this as an indication that it is expected that the rig will still be at its present location early Sunday.

Next planning meeting is on 11th January. I wonder if the Protos planning application (submitted in October) will go before the committee this time.

It's about 4am where the rig is, so I wouldn't expect to see much activity until after breakfast!

Yes Jackunion, we know, and our government knows what they do with it, so we pay them to dump it in the sea and dump it on their beaches, or pile it up somewhere or incinerate it, or stick it in a stinking landfill.

That's why I say it's disgusting. As a developed and presumably civilised country we should have taken responsibility for dealing with our own rubbish a long time ago.

I find the whole thing utterly disgusting. We should never have been burdening other countries with our waste, and certainly not now.

The November Newsletter was published on 4th Nov. Are we likely to get a December Newsletter, or have they stopped doing them?

I agree amin, I took the arrival of the supply ship Normand Swan as an indication that they don't want to use the AHTS vessels for cargo runs any more. They won't want to hold up the rig move waiting for the return of the tug from a cargo run.

The Pacific Valour is due to arrive at the FPSO Montara about Midnight. She may not need to return to the rig as it will only require two tugs to move her.

The supply ship Normand Swan is standing by about 3km from the rig, probably waiting to take the last backload of materials and equipment from the rig when it has completed the Jadestone job, which I guess will be in the next two or three days.

It will be interesting to see if the herd jump in when the rig starts moving, or will they wait until spud is announced.

viable, it's more than likely that although the Pacific Valour is an AHTS (muli-purpose) vessel, at the moment she will be acting as a cargo supply ship, backloading materials and equipment from the Jadestone job, and possibly bringing back materials and equipment to the rig for the B10 job. And I imagine that the supply ship Normand Swan is doing similar.
