HMS, the point I'm making is that ADV cannot make announcements regarding the activities of another company, until that company releases the information itself.

No announcement yet from Jadestone, probably get one tomorrow.
ADV can't really put out an announcement until Jadestone has announced that they have released the rig.

They're making good progress at 5.5 kn. If they keep this speed up, they will be there is about 30 hours!

Bear in mind that when they reach the "border" they have to get import clearance which might take a day or so, depending on what red tape is involved. Then it could take a day or so to manoeuvre the rig into the exact position that they want, then to move the legs down to the seabed and stabilise the rig.

These things all take time, so a lot of work before they can actually drop the drill!

OK, thanks NoEasy, I wasn't sure of the exact point that the rig would be regarded as "released".

Keep a watch for an RNS from Jadestone. They may report when they have finished with the rig and off-hired it, which I would expect to happen before the rig starts to move.

Absolutely, they need to know exactly what they are doing, especially those who are working in the North Sea!

If Jadestone have finished with the rig, there might be a hand-over announcement before they actually start to move it. Not sure, just surmising!

The supply ship Normand Swan has been alongside the rig most of the day, and has just left, at about 3:00 am AUS time, heading for Darwin. I assume they have been working hard to "clear the decks" and get all of the materials ex Jadestone job away on the Normand Swan.

If that is the last of the Jadestone stuff, then we may see some movement of the rig in the next day or two.

I don't believe there is any way that they can meet net zero by 2050 without nuclear.

The Normand Swan, Go Sirius, and Skandi Atlantic are taking turns at going alongside the rig. Loading/unloading cargo I imagine.

The construction / diving support vessel MMA Vigilant appears to have left the area. That's an indication that the technical /operational problem has been resolved.

Amin, the Normand Swan is a straight supply ship, a cargo ship, doesn't do anchor handling or tow rigs. So she would be for backloading cargo ex Jadestone job from the rig to Darwin, and/or bringing new cargo from Darwin to the rig for the Buffalo job.

Of course the AHTS vessels have also been used for cargo runs while waiting for the rig to get ready to move.
