I see my shares in my Barclays account, but I can't trade them yet (not that I want to) and they don't have a value attached to them yet. Still, it's showing the right number and they're in the right place, so I'm content for now!

Just phoned Barclays. They say they have not received details of the Atome shares yet and don't know when they might receive it. Told me to keep a watch on the "Corporate Actions" section online.

It's true that there is lots of hydrogen, and ammonia, being produced currently, but the vast majority is produced by steam reformation using natural gas as the source. The problem with that process is that it is very expensive because it uses a lot of electricity and it is sourcing fossil fuel, whereas Atome is using electrolysis with cheaper renewable electricity in Paraguay and Iceland.

Looks like the shares are being snapped up from the outset.

If it helps, I noticed that the lead tow vessel, the Skandi Atlantic, left the rig very shortly after they reached their location and headed for Darwin, so I assume that the rig must have been successful in getting its legs down before the Skandi left her.

The supply ship Normand Swan came out to the rig from Darwin about the same time. She has spent some time alongside the rig, and is presently standing by, as is the AHTS Go Sirius.

The Skandi Atlantic has been to several berths in Darwin, and is now on her way back to the rig.

Dunno Jezzac. Maybe they haven't achieved spud yet.

The Hyundai project is intended to be a large-scale installation. PHE's DMG technology is not large-scale, it is small-scale and modular. Some posters here may be aware of the failure of Air Products' large-scale EfT project at Tees Valley in 2016:

They are not using DMG technology. Just comparing a few basic numbers:
To process 100,000 tons pa would be equivalent to 8 DMG units. At say £25k per unit (probably an over-estimate) that would equate to a total Capex of $270M which is significantly less than Hyundai's projected Capex of $336M.

The DMG units are projected to produce 50 kg of H2O per one ton of plastic, so in a year 100,000 tons of plastic would produce 5,000 tons of H2O. Hyundai's estimate of 22,000 tons of H2O therefore seems grossly overestimated. Alternatively, if the reporter has got his/her decimal point in the wrong place, then 2,200 tons of H2O would be a gross under-estimate!

So far Protos is still the only location that has planning permission to install a DMG unit (as far as I know) so if Peel obtain planning permission in January for the application that they submitted last October for the waste plastic processing sites, surely they must still be in line to achieve construction of the "Fist of a Kind" DMG at Protos.

They certainly made very good time in the move, I didn't expect them to do it so quick. The Skandi was the towing vessel, and the fact that she has let go and heading off for Darwin suggests to me that the rig is now in position with its legs down. The Skandi wouldn't have let the rig go while it was still floating! The Go Sirius is still supporting the rig but I don't think she is close enough to be holding the rig in place, so I reckon the rig must be on location.

I agree Dr.A. I was actually looking forward to the December Newsletter thinking that it might give some guidance regarding Protos development or CEO recruitment, but alas, nothing of the sort. Very disappointing.

I feel that PHE (and James) are in limbo until Peel get planning permission for the application submitted in October. I'm hoping that that application will go before the planning committee on 11th January, but we won't know that util a week before the meeting.

Possibly a lot of traders jumping off first thing this morning taking their 10% profit from yesterday.
