Thanks Dr.A., pretty much the way I'm thinking as well. My understanding is that the DMG will be up and running and producing syngas before the end of this year, hopefully Q3, and that it will be producing hydrogen before the end of 2023. I'm not really bothered about the hydrogen at this stage, because that will come whenever there is demand for it on the site, but for me the important thing is the production of syngas because that will be proof of concept as far as the scaled-up commercial model Is concerned. So the sooner they can get to that stage the better, as I say hopefully Q3 this year.

Dr.Anomaly, any idea what Ian meant by "Up and running with a partner by this summer". Did he mean that he expects the DMG to be up and running by this summer, or that PHE will be working with a partner by this summer? I'm not lear on this.

Personally I think this is a very good podcast. Ian mentions hydrogen production but the end of 2023, but I didn't pick up any date for having the DMG up and running and producing syngas. For me, that's the really important date, not the date for producing hydrogen because that will be demand driven.

So that's the planning for Plot 10B sorted.

Peel still need approval of their application dated 7th October for the waste plastic facilities and the hydrogen fuelling station. It's all part of the "Plastic Park" but I'm hoping that they now have enough permissions to be getting on the PHE's Plot 10B.

Yes it has taken a long time LedZep. It's taken a long time at both Protos and Clydebank. But some of the delay may have been caused by Peel amending and improving the designs.

Anton: The plastic doesn't have to be cleaned because the DMG operates at a very high temperature and will "gasify" anything except metal!. This is one of the huge advantages of the DMG system. However it will be passed through a shredder before entering the chamber.

Good news! The Protos planning application is on the agenda of the Planning committee for 1st February. Hopefully it will get approval, the we may see some more action on the site. (Item 5)
