Without wishing to sound like I'm trying to teach anyone to suck eggs(!), adversity can bring opportunity. It reminds me of not so long ago when I passed on investing in Northgate - the commercial car / van rental outfit, of course - because a sizeable chunk of their client base operates in Spain and most of us had an idea of what was around the corner for our chums down there.
