Enormous growing market
"CD19-directed chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, which has transformed the treatment landscape for B-cell malignancies, is now showing great promise in at least three distinct autoantibody-dependent autoimmune diseases.
A single infusion of autologous CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy led to persistent, drug-free remission in 15 patients with life-threatening systemic lupus erythematosus, idiopathic inflammatory myositis, or systemic sclerosis, according to research presented at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting."

I'd like to add my thanks as well to you Haywain for the precise and clear explanation of some of the science, I learned quite a bit there, thankyou. I've been following Hemo for a number of years since I got interested in Investing/Trading, and recently decided to invest in the science and the people involved with the company. One of the other reasons was that I lost a lovely friend last year to an aggressive form of Leukemia. He recieved his diagnosis from the Doctor after taking some tests at his doctors request, thinking he was just anaemic but the doc wanted to double check. I remember seeing him days before the test results came back in March last year, he was his normal bubbly smiley self. We spoke about taking Iron supplements if it was anaemic. By June he had died, he took a turn for the worse after receiving his first Blood Transfusion and sadly passed away. I was shocked how quick it was, it was a real eye opener for me.
The science here is remarkable and now we have the IND lifted, I wish the company and everyone on this board and everyone else who is involved with Hemogenyx all the best! It would be an amazing thing if the clinical trials achieve what we all hope they will, fingers crossed!
Also thanks all for the great debate and information this weekend, it makes such a massive change from the petty squabbling from some of the more disruptive members of this board. Good luck Hemogenyx!!!!
Wonderful news, Full Steam Ahead!!!
Might even have some Grog for breakfast :))
"Professor Chris Ballentine, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford, said: 'We sampled helium gas (and nitrogen) just bubbling out of the ground in the Tanzanian East African Rift valley. By combining our understanding of helium geochemistry with seismic images of gas trapping structures, independent experts have calculated a probable resource of 54 Billion Cubic Feet (BCf) in just one part of the rift valley. This is enough to fill over 1.2 million medical MRI scanners. To put this discovery into perspective, global consumption of helium is about 8 BCf per year and the United States Federal Helium Reserve, which is the world’s largest supplier, has a current reserve of just 24.2 BCf. Total known reserves in the USA are around 153 BCf. This is a game changer for the future security of society’s helium needs and similar finds in the future may not be far away."

Thanks for posting those links BobsSocks, very interesting, no doubts about it, the potential here is pretty mind blowing! Fingers crossed the positive news flow continues

"Researchers headed by a team at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) have developed an anti-aging chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy targeting the senescent cells that accumulate in organisms as they age, and which are thought to be responsible for many of the diseases linked with getting older."
Another potential fascinating use for CAR-T, the list is certainly growing!!!

"Helium is best known for making balloons buoyant. This second lightest and second most abundant element in the universe (after hydrogen) also has a high-tech side: It’s integral to manufacturing fiber-optic cables and semiconductors, and could be key to creating a new kind of quantum computer."

All the Ducks appear to be lining up nicely, this could put a boost under Helium prices globally

“Our study suggests that exosomes could be a promising new way to deliver drugs to the brain and treat AD,” said Professor Li Min, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) of Chinese Medicine at HKBU. “More research is needed, but this study provides hope that a cure for AD may be possible in the future."

"Exosomes derived from stem cells (e.g., embryonic, induced pluripotent, hematopoietic, mesenchymal, neural, and endothelial stem cells) are capable of treating numerous diseases encountered in orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, urology, head and neck surgery, ophthalmology, and obstetrics and gynecology."

Yeah it's worth the effort, quality bird!
We still don't know the full uses of Exosomes, it's still early days but the potential is enormous. With the amazing ability to pass the Blood Brain barrier being an obvious one that could be very useful in treating a myriad of Brain disorders. Parkinsons and Alzheimers being the obvious ones.
Evidence now emerging around the rejuvination abilities of Exosomes

"Growing global opportunity
OCT461201 is a selective cannabinoid receptor type 2 agonist which has shown potential as an effective therapy for chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy ("CIPN") as well as irritable bowel syndrome ("IBS"). The global market for CIPN alone is currently valued at US$1.61bn and is forecast to reach US$2.37bn by 2027."
“Cannabinoid-based drugs have well-described effects in the brain and there has been a lot of interest in their use across different cancers for a long time now. Glioblastomas have receptors to cannabinoids on their cell surface, and laboratory studies on glioblastoma cells have shown these drugs may slow tumour growth and work particularly well when used with temozolomide"
Lots of information about the trial on here:

"In 2015, Linnemann et al. found that human melanomas frequently contained mutant neoepitopes recognised by CD4+ cells [37]. This was quickly followed by a report from the lab of Özlem Türeci and Ugur Sahin, which demonstrated that immunogenic tumour mutations in the ‘mutanomes’ of three separate preclinical mouse tumour models largely induced a CD4+ T cell response [38], not a CD8+ T-cell response as had been expected. Two years later, the same group and Catherine Wu’s group published back-to-back reports reporting clinical findings showing that personalised neoantigen vaccines for melanoma patients primarily induced tumour-specific responses in CD4+ rather than CD8+ T cells"
It sounds like this finding caused BionTech to pivot towards CD4 Cells and get in touch with Scancell?
2/3 Years later BioNTech and Scancell signed up to collaborate together in Jan 2018. There is clearly growing interest in CD4 T cells, no wonder Lindy is so excited about Modi 1, and hopefully we are getting the first trial results filtering through at the moment. Very Exciting

“These patients had a very interesting immunological response to their cancer involving their CD4 T cells [which help coordinated the body’s immune response], which are known to be associated with better survival in cancers but have been in the shadows.
“This is an overlooked area that may be guiding the immune system to have a really profound effect even in patients who you would very much expect to have a poor response,” he said.
Bodes well for Scancell's Modi-1, fingers crossed
