Cheers oldtramp that's a really good shout. That's the way I'll go in future. What do we think about the current SP value? Underpriced?

Paid £0.27p in my SIPP which was probably unwise at the time so I'm sorely tempted to purchase a right old dollop myself in order to average down. What does the forum think? OHS I do wish LSE would categorise the buys & sells better. Drives me nuts!

Surprisingly few Share transactions so far this morning but all of them (again) surprisingly red sells which is a contination of the theme during the latter stages of yesterday afternoon. Hopefully we'll see the reds turning into blue's as we go through the day and at at the same time turn the current SP red into a blue one by COP today. Now that Cineworld has temporarily closed what better entertainment than having a fun day watching events unfold on this brilliant forum but I hasten to add hopefully not on the same scale & manner as last Friday afternoon!

REF: USKMOUTH: The EP Permit (in whatever guise it presents itself in) I believe is the 1st and perhaps the most significant milestone to reach. I would expect a surge in SP on this news. Other milestones such as PP for the silos should follow quickly after that. The EP is "the one that we want" (right now) as Olivia Newton John would sing!

Unfortunately not! But it'll take a lot more than any non-reply on Monday for me not to take the credit! Ha ha ha. Lol

I wrote an email to Cara Donovan on Sunday asking if she or TC could provide any positive news or update following the great sell off on Friday. It's unlikely this had any affect but I'll take the credit anyway!

SP edged up a tad 1st he of trading with more blue buys than red sells. Let's hope it continues for the rest of the day!

SAE's tidal technology is world renowned and hence they have commercial interests outside of the UK. Nevertheless, tidal is bound to be part of the longer term UK plan going forward. Why wouldn't it be?

The 2 posts OHS kindly sent through definitely show the breadth & scale of what's involved in the whole process thus further adding weight to my earlier post. I found the Lynemouth conversion particularly interesting. This project was granted a variation to the Environmental permit albeit based on 100% biomass. Uskmouth is 50% biomass and 50% non-recyclable plastic waste that would otherwise go into landfill. So, whilst there is a difference, (Uskmouth being a tad more complex) it 100% demonstrates that the 2 parties involved can work together to bring about a successful outcome. I fully anticipate Uskmouth to be granted their required permit and fully expect the SP to gain momentum as it passes each milestone to financial close.

SP dropped this morning but not altogether unsurprisingly. In my very humble opinion there has been knee jerk reaction to the news on Friday. That doesn't mean to say we investors are right nor wrong just that it's incumbent we all make decisions we believe are right for us based on the information placed in front of us. I kept my shares but as I've said in a previous post I certainly don't blame anyone for fully or partly selling up. I nearly did so myself. My reasons for investment are not solely based on Uksmouth but also the wider business interests SAE have. That said, Uksmouth is a real game changer. So what do I think?
1. EP: In the end I believe it will be granted. I've always said this. There has to be a bone fide legal reason not to.
2.NRW: Are well within their rights to ask for further information if they a) are not fully understanding of the topic and b) require evidence the project is likely to comply with all required regs.
No matter what the outcome, NRW will know there is very likely to be fallout. In my opinion, that fallout is likely to come from the anti-carbon brigade. They are a very passionate lot and will want assurance that NRW have left no stone unturned. This means they have to fully understand all consequences of the project and be seen to be conducting their due diligence in the right manner. The news on Friday therefore cannot be that surprising. I have written to SAE to ask if they could possibly take the unusual & perhaps even unprecedented step of providing an update in how they see things going forward? They are not obliged to do so of course. It might be that they are too busy engaging with the good people's of the NRW team. In any case, time will tell but in the meantime, I for one, remain optimistic for a positive outcome.

It's not about other sites it's about Uskmouth. Uskmouth drives everything. The fact is NRW must have a legal reason not to grant the permit. This is merely a delay as NRW cover all basis ahead of any reactio by the anti- carbon brigade. These people simply do not realise the carbon reducing impact that this project delivers that, simply put Is a global gamechanger. Not to mention the much needed economic impact in the Newport region. This would be a game changer for those people out of work in SW. It is vitally important NRW understand this and do all that they can to work with SAE to bring about a successful conclusion. This really would put Newport on the global stage. I'll come off my high horse now.

I'm not convinced there will be an RNS on Monday as the EP timings are still technically within schedule. It's just that we were expecting a positive decision yesterday. That said, how can we think that when there are other outstanding questions/issues to be addressed? I've kept my holding as I wanted to be true to my conviction that the EP would be granted and I very much believe it will. That isn't to say that I didn't think about it. Indeed, I had my finger over the (whole amount) sell button at one point. In the end though, I stuck to my beliefs. From a wealth point of view I may well have dropped a clanger. Maybe I could have sold (made a tiny profit) then re-bought once the SP drops into its teens? After all, as a 60yr old, there's more chance of SAE dropping into its teens than I am. That said and as other posts have said, the SP has held up reasonably well considering the scale of the bail out reaction to the delay in EP news yesterday but as I say, is it really surprising considering the sheer complexity of the project? As BM2 rightly says, NRW want to make 100% sure they have carried out their due diligence & assessment and this takes time. After all, there are a lot of people who will oppose the project build. A lot of people whose beliefs are so one-tracked & blinkered they often fail to see the whole picture. NRW know this and will want to be seen to be covering every angle as they are bound to be put under the spotlight following any successful conclusion in so far as we are concerned. In summary then, I've kept hold of my shares but don't blame those that have sold out at this stage. I do believe in all honesty that good sense will prevail and the project will get it's go ahead. I have every faith in the leadership team at SAE to navigate it's way to successful project conclusion but I don't expect an RNS. That said, I think the CEO, Tim Cornellius could make a statement on Monday to appease all remaining existing & new investors... and that includes me. This forum remains the best.

I completely agree with you oldtramp. Tim will not be a happy bunny. Like you, I expect a swift response. I had my finger over the sell button only to withdraw at the last moment as my strategy has been the long game. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong but if I am then I only have myself to blame. Brilliant forum as always.

OHS, thanks for the update. So sorry you feel the need to sell your entire holding. These things can take time. In a nutshell, are you able to advise what's in the report?

Started down but creeping up as we speak. Would be great to finish the week up. SP still very much undervalued IMHO.

I thought my current SAE share holding overweight to be honest but I'm now minded to aquire more now at this price!!! Is there a company share more undervalued than SAE right now? Despite the SP drop (led I think by a combination of sells & MM manipulation) I am genuinely excited about this companies future prospects. Yesterday we learned losses had halved with revenue up which is always a positive sign. The SP devaluation over the past couple of days is therefore unwarranted IMHO.
