RE: Jackpot!17 Nov 2020 09:00
Morning chaps. In respect of the Telegraph article I very much doubt this was the reason behind the SP boost yesterday. More like general market optimism coupled with positive trading on SAE shares I would have thought . Long may it continue but I suspect you will get the usual sellers on stand-by waiting to make their fast buck helping to suppress the share price at the same time. Getting back to the article, the fact that the Telegraph has published it is positive in itself as it opens the door to people's imaginations but the reality is, tidal is still many years behind other renewable energy mechanics despite the gap narrowing all the time. In the end, I believe it will, one day be able to compete for contracts with no company in a finer position than SAE to take full commercial advantage. What tidal needs right now though is investment. A CFD is what it needs. This way, the investment can be ploughed into further R&D and lower cost mechanisms can be developed. This way, tidal can be placed on a more level playing field with other sources of renewables and effectively compete. Without this much needed investment it will simply take longer to deliver and that's why Uskmouth is so crucial. It would bring about a double edge sword. One edge being tidal were part of the substantial profits derived can be re-directed. Inthe meantime, I'm hopeful, the fact that Boris's long term partner, Carrie Symmonds, is an active environmentalist might help our cause? Loving the enthusiasm & really feeling the positivity of the "Jackpot" posts but I suspect we might be in for a correction today. Stand to be corrected & sincerely hope I'm wrong!
