New Dawn30 Dec 2020 12:12
Not posted for a short while. New Dawn? Sounds like the name of a new vampire film doesn't it? But that's exactly what were heading into as 2020 comes to a thankful close. We'll look back on it both from a personal & financial viewpoint. For me, I lost a dear uncle to Covid-19. Makes you think what's really important? Thankfully, the Oxford Uni/AZN vaccine collaboration has proved successful in terms of it being given UK clearance today. I am hopeful this will allow us & the world at large to help live our lives again. To bring about some normality in our personal lives. In our professional lives too, where hopefully business can thrive & prosper. One such company being Simec Atlantis. (Ticker SAE) This year, I have been most grateful for the ear of the leadership team being a mere retail investor. Throughout 2020 it has managed to make strides across all 3 trading divisions that are tidal, (core) Hydro and Uskmouth despite the global challenges that has bereft us all. The SP has been volatile no doubt about that but the general direction is upward but will it achieve our aspirations? I for one believe it will. I believe, we are looking into 2021 (crystal ball polished) into being the most important year in it's relatively short history. A transformational year for all 3 divisions. A new dawn. War chest at the ready with up to £12m laying inside it to capitalise post Brexit post covid on any potential acquisitions or capital enhancements to develop each business segment. The SP has been and unfortunately will be subject to SUP. I say unfortunately because it shouldn't be. Tidal energy is set to become bigger & more profitable and on it's own, could steer the company into profit for the 1st time in its history. Last year, tidal accounted for a 50% reduction in profit loss leading to a surge in SP at the time. Hydro is set to continue making strides and playing it's part. SUP & the NPA JV (fuel pellets) is set to make this company transformational though. I would rather it tidal but everyone's interested in SUP & hence the SP is likely to continue to be governed by this increasingly important division. We are close very close. Final questions have been asked with only a few remaining answers to be given. SAE have employed industry expertise to help them get over the line with the environmental permit. (EP) SAE are targeting an end of Qtr2 for this and have stated they are on track as far as these timings are concerned. Don't be fooled. I think SAE have given worse case scenario here so don't be too suprised to read an RNS much sooner than this. They are actively speaking to new potential customers for its waste to energy fuel pellets. The same fuel pellets to run the Uskmouth Ovens. Good news just around the corner? Broker price: 0.67p. Listen to them if you want but for me, any successes could easily dwarf this as SAE transitions itself from a small to mid cap company. Finally, as we enter the new dawn, I sincerely wish all SAE investors & i
