Completely agree. NAV at £12.68 versus £11.96 SP also provides a bone fide indicator in my view suggesting the shares are very much undervalued.

A NAV of £12.76 suggests there is still a fair amount of shorter term upside to help encourage new & existing investors. Still one of the best managed trusts in the market. Keeping the faith.

Hi Etotheipi, many thanks for your thoughts into why the the SP has dropped by over 8% today indeed a general downward trend. Let's hope we see a more positive correction over the coming days. Could be an opportunity to average down.

Hi laallee, I believe we all think that way when faced with similar circumstances. Like we've somehow put a dark spell on the SP. Up to now, this has been a fantastic trust to own particularly if one is a longer term holder. The markets appear to be in absolute disarray right now. Little or no investor confidence due to fear of inflation, profit taking, USA bonds, & equities that appear to be overpriced versus balance sheets plus debt etc. Not to mention a falling market. Time will tell as always but the SP is more than likely than not to bounce back. Might be a question of holding your nerve.

With NAV at 744 & SP now 720 on paper, this is incredibly good value!

For such a large fund there doesn't appear to be much of a board presence for some reason? But hopefully this will start something good, bad or indifferent..
With NAV at 744 and SP falling to 766 are we seeing an expected correction?

Keepcalmncarryon I completely agree with you with respect to holding on & riding what is at present, seems to many of us as being a perfect storm. The MM's mind games are no doubt at the root of it all. Games they more than often than not win I hasten to add. A penny for what the fund managers are thinking right now!

Must admit that I didn't think by midday the SP would drop a shy short of 10%. I consider this as being a mother of all corrections. However, it could have even further to fall by the day's out. In my mind, we're in the midst of a global panic here despite the positive attributes of the vaccines. The bounce we encountered with the initial positive vaccine update was just too great & not sustainable. All is not lost though. Once the economy starts to get back on its feet investor attitude will become more positive I'm sure. Tech stocks should bounce. It just might take a while before all of us that have bought big & at high cost see any real value. Patience then is going to be key.

We're in the midst of a highly volatile period right now. We have the strong pound. We have investor short term mania. We have negative investor sentiment toward potential interest rate increases. We have investor profit taking going on. Small wonder then the SP has fallen almost 9% in 2 days. So far today, 3%+ and we've only just begun the trading day. I hope I'm wrong as I'm heavily invested in SMT but I don't see any pull back today. I for one have faith in the managers of this trust so won't be panicking just yet. That's £31m more buys yet the the SP is nearly 2% down on the day. Just when you think it can't get any lower... It does!

If this carries on much longer you might be forgiven if you think the company can be bought for the price of a bag of crisps!

Hi Chaseable, still here. I've taken a short break from posting mainly due to setting up a new business & all that it brings. However, I've been following this board & reading with interest the various posts & links whether good or bad as best I can. I've also spoken with SAE directly on occasion. My view my belief hasn't changed. Whilst there is no doubt the project has taken a twist in so far as the added complexities (cable) and the fact the Welsh Ministry has (unexpectedly) called-in the determination, I still believe, both PP & EP will be delivered by SUP. My concern, however, is the timing & whether the various challenges will ultimately cause further delays. I was expecting the determination to be made as per the previous RNS that is H1 2021. This means, 30th June. I remain hopeful it will still be made by this date but it wouldn't surprise me if there was a delay. SAE are actively working on the challenges as we speak & as you would expect and this includes the habitat challenges including the impact on rare & migrating birds etc. Hopefully, we will see some formal updates directly from SAE in the near future as they are very much aware investor sentiment in so far as SUP is concerned. Great to read about the growing government sentiment surrounding tidal. Great to read positivity from both old & new postees but also measured counter argument. This is what makes this board one of the very best. In the meantime its important we keep a watchful eye on whether or not the Welsh Ministry revert the determination decision back to NCC where we know they are minded to approve. We await this with bated breath.

Afternoon all, unfortunately, another bad day on the market. GSK SP dropping like a stone. This disease is starting to affect my health & no doubt many others. Anybody know a Pharma that can manufacture a vaccine soon? In all seriousness, it's got to rebound strongly at some point hasn't it?

Today's RNS has got to be a good thing right? and yet the SP has dropped 10p at the time of writing!

Absolutely agree somersetgreen. It was the connection between Wyre & SAE that 1st alerted me to seriously consider tidal as an investment. I spent many a summer with my grandparents as a youngster in Fleetwood and know the area between Fleetwood & Knott End very well. There's a natural channel there the fishing fleet use. Good news on the successful delivery of the AR500 turbine in Japan and already generating electricity. Lots going on & to admire with the tidal division & looking forward to hearing some more successes in this core division!

Both elderly parents (well in their 80's) had their respective jabs last week with zero affects. Despite what Germany or the USA say about the efficacy levels of the vaccine for over 65's I for one am very pleased they had the AZN jab. I have 100% confidence in both company & vaccine. Great job AstraZenaca. Now hoping the company can resolve their differences with the EU as quickly as possible. Pretty sure they're doing everything they can to ramp up production.

Spoke with Sean Parsons at SAE yesterday and he insists everything is firmly on track as per previous RNS. They're well aware of what's outstanding and nothing, as such, unsurprising to them. Their currently finalising the required responses including habitat mitigation so everything appears to be going as well as it can. Sean appeared confident & reassuring when I spoke with him which I took as being a good sign. I'm not expecting to read any RNS's about SUP for a few weeks if truth be told but it wouldn't suprise me if we got a positive RNS regarding the turbine installation in Japan. Keeping the faith.
