Are ROLLS ROYCE Shares A Good Investment?6 May 2022 10:06
Having acquired a fair dollop of shares a few weeks back I've seen my initial investment in RR fall heavily in value. I guess I'm not alone! JPM's somewhat untimely broker recommendation didn't help not one jot. That's the risk we investors take. Despite this, I made my bet based on an horizon. An horizon that included increased flying hours and engine maintenance, increased government spending, early all electric plane innovation, new early carbon neutral fuel innovation and yes, new early SMNR innovation where a good slice of renewable energy must eventually derive. All these influences have been discussed a great deal on this board by more knowledgeable postees than I. Yes, we have headwinds, another being announced yesterday by the governor of the Bank of England. Recession helps no-one here. This talk has heavily influenced the UK market as we see, yet again, a sea of red. RR may well drop 6%. It may well drop 10%. Who knows? Taking into consideration all influences, are Rolls Royce shares a good investment? Put it this way, despite my growing losses which, I hasten to add, would normally cut, I won't be selling anytime soon. Keeping the faith in this brilliant great British engineering company.
