To be honest, I don't think the level of increase itself altogether unsurprising so I would expect the markets to recover quite quickly. Fingers crossed.

Just in: ECB have raised interest rates by 50 points to 0% that I believe is the biggest rate rise since 2000. The FTSE promptly did a nosedive along with many stocks & shares values. This may be the cause & effect of why the RR SP has suddenly dropped?

Insurers are on a collision course with the Bank of England after the industry warned that a post-Brexit revamp of capital rules risked falling short of triggering the investment “Big Bang” sought by the government. The Association of British Insurers said proposals by regulators to overhaul Solvency II regulations would result in life companies holding more, rather than less, capital. In its response to a government consultation on the reform, the lobby group argued that pension customers would be stung by higher costs under the plans.

Missed my buying opportunity today Mike which I regret but I'm sure there will be further chances to load up even if it means averaging up. 95p though would see me above water, although, like you, my intention is to hold for the long term. (min 3yrs)

Mike, by way of definition due you believe 92p is the bottom? I'm currently only holding 6000 shares but my target is 25000. My strategy is to continue buying on any dips until I have my quota. My target is to have the quota purchased by the 1st week of April 2023. Your view highly appreciated.

Slight setback today probably due to worse than expected UK inflation data albeit LGEN are supposedly, largely shielded by inflationary pressures. FTSE turned from blue to red.

92p holding firm so far but almost sure to be tested as SP suffers a fallback today albeit no concern here I'm sure for longer term holders.

Yes, it's a headwind but I believe the tailwinds are stronger.

I agree Deadly4U. once implemented it will allow investors to judge comparative business's on a more equal platform and the likes of LGEN will be accountable for any element of risk associated with new contracts. Or that's the way I read it. It will make the industry as a whole think twice about the risk it's entering into. There will be cost I'm sure but I'm equally sure LGEN will be gearing up for implementation on or around the 1st January and as such, I don't think this new regulation will have any material impact on SP going forward.

Never seen the RR pipeline looking so full & active... August update should be well worth a read. Cup of tea and a packet of digestive biscuits at the ready. If as positive as I think it will be perhaps swap the biscuits for a slice of lemon drizzle cake!

I have no confidence in any banks/analysts to accurately predict share price movement. They seldom provide back up data to justify their views and I often wonder if they have an ulterior motive? In any case, there is, more often than not, a wide enougj gap between what one says versus another!

Dow up more than 700 points which bodes well for a positive start on the opening bell and not just for RR. Hopefully the positive start to the week continues.

Chris, I do agree with PSK about sharing personal details but hopefully that particular post will be removed and quickly so with no harm done. You come across as a genuine person with integrity and and as such, a valued new member to the RR board.
