Essential it is you who misleads this board for your own ends, trying to support your failing £5000 investment. Say what you like son, it will make no difference to what QBT eventually do. As for being a danger I think not, the worst than can happen to any investor reading my posts is they lose no money and they gain no money. Listening to the ramping crew can have serious consequence for an investors wealth.

Exactly, when claiming an improvement of x % this by itself is meaningless unless we know the reference against which it is measured. If Gardin says something like standard SHA-256 then that is also meaningless since many improvements have been made by the hashing community since SHA-256 was initial adopted by Bitcoin.

Naik in his 2013 thesis acknowledges that others had made optimisations to the original NIST SHA-256 hash. For example ASICBoost has been incorporated into all ASICs. That optimisation was introduced in 2016 and increased hash speed by about 20%

So exactly what are the advantages provided by QBT's methods ?

I see great parallels between Inspirit Energy and Quantum Blockchain. It’s worth noting there is an actual link between them, in the person of Nilesh Jagatia the finance officer at INSP, he was also involved with Clear leisure as a director.

Both companies have 3 to 4 employees i.e. directors and are essentially one-man-bands. Both companies promised world class products, INSP’s technology supposedly having boundless potential and of course QBT having enormous potential. INSP technology was the Inspirit Charger, a boiler producing both heat and electricity using a Stirling engine. In all the years of development not once were definitive performance figures published. Output figures were given but the conditions were never stated i.e. the ratio of heat to electricity and the input power, so were meaningless. In 2019 they claimed that modifications increased output by 100% to 6.4 kW. QBT claimed an increase from 30 to 50 %. Like QBT many discussions were had and money raised to certify the boiler all of which came to nothing. Ther were never any updates on the discussions, they just disappeared from view. Eventually the boiler slipped into the distance and the company pivoted to Waste heat Recovery. A Letter of Support was received from Volvo Penta, this drove the rampers into a frenzy and provided another few years of salaries. I still wonder how that letter from Volvo was obtained? John Gunn made good PR on that letter.

Inspirit claimed a 30% performance enhancement figure on some commercial engines, for the WHR system, sound familiar?

The company claimed that they had attracted interest from big named companies. A claim of 100 kW of extra energy could be obtained from engine waste heat recovery but note it doesn’t claim that energy is heat or electricity, or from what power engine the energy is extracted.

The development was strung out for years culminating in finding a design fault with a component. Ultimately the company became a cash shell because the design and development director left. Under the rules for a cash shell the company was delisted from AIM, where it languishes to this day. The technology not worth a fig.

I see QBT claiming difficulty with third party ASICs and pivoting to making their own. The ASIC route would provide at least a further 2 years of development and wages for Gardin. In 2 years Quantum computing maybe a practical reality allowing another pivot possibly but due to Gardin’s age he’s going to want to enjoy the spoils of his hard work soon.
