I think for ultimate speed the nonce is simply incremented from starting point. How would method C work you would need to jump random nonce! For Method B I thought the idea was to find a range where the winning nonce was but not know exactly, you would then just hash as normal from that point.

If they are resetting the nonce to a new start value to provide pseudo flexibility then that would severely hinder performance. That is perhaps why method B goes from 160% to North of 10%.

Third party boards were never need, what was needed was a revision of CGMiner code which QBT were incapable of. Gardin allegedly approached Kovalis and asked for driver software but was rejected. Kovalis being one of the two major authors of CGMiner.

𝗡𝗼 Gardin does not mention deployment on Block ASICs. You must speak a different language to me. Where are the words Gardin uses to say "we will deploy method A and B on Block's ASIC.

But it only says QBT is looking at other chips. As for the Block ASIC they 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 be suitable. They are not saying it is suitable merely it could be. Of course it would only be shown possible after testing or analysis since I would expect the data sheet to be available as they've said it is open source. But of course how open is open source?
