Powerhouse Energy Group plc (AIM: PHE), the UK technology company commercialising hydrogen production from waste plastic, is pleased to announce that, further to the announcement of 26 June 2020 and the completion of the acquisition of Waste2Tricity Limited, the appointment of Tim Yeo as a non-executive director of the Company commences with immediate effect.
Mr Yeo has wide experience in government, serving in the Environment and Health Departments, and subsequently as Shadow Secretary of State for Trade and Industry in the Shadow Cabinet. He is currently the chairman of the New Nuclear Watch Institute, Honorary Ambassador of Foreign Investment Promotion for South Korea and since 2007 has been a non-executive director of Getlink SE, operator of the Channel Tunnel whose market capitalisation on the Paris Bourse exceeds £6 billion.
On joining the Board of Powerhouse Tim Yeo said:
"I am delighted to join the board as this exciting new era in Powerhouse's history begins. Our technology is capable of both producing affordable clean hydrogen and addressing the global problem of plastic waste. It will thereby deliver two important environmental benefits simultaneously.”
“I look forward to working with my new Powerhouse colleagues, and with our partners Peel Environmental, to bring this technology successfully to commercialisation."
Cameron Davies, Chairman of PowerHouse, said:
“On behalf of the Directors I would like to warmly welcome Tim to the Board at a transformational moment for Powerhouse Energy. Tim’s background and experience is strongly aligned with our strategic vision and will undoubtedly be of real value as we see our DMG technology become a first of a kind commercial reality at Protos in Cheshire followed by its broad roll out across the UK and into potential waste plastic to energy markets internationally.”
One novel spin on emerging hydrogen fuel options is "clean hydrogen" made from trash.
Early pioneers of these hydrogen-from-waste technologies such as Ways2H, SGH2 Energy (SGH2) and Standard Hydrogen say not only are they making carbon-free, energy-rich fuel, their approaches also will divert mountains of trash from landfills and waterways, cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
Green hydrogen — made by splitting water’s hydrogen and oxygen using electricity produced by renewable sources — is a small fish in the "energies pond." Today, more than 95 percent of hydrogen is fossil-based and does not rely on renewables. Other technologies are in the mix, such as battery electric vehicles.
Hydrogen from waste is an even smaller fish than hydrogen from renewable energy. There are only a few waste-to-hydrogen projects, most which are in early stages and relatively small scale.

Commenting on the agreement, Shoichiro Taniguchi, Chief Development Officer of TOKYO GLOBAL GATEWAY, said:
"We are very pleased to be able to introduce the VR Education ENGAGE platform to Japan. This is the first time for children in Japan to learn through VR. The ENGAGE platform will provide Japanese students with new learning experiences, new surprises, and even greater curiosity. TOKYO GLOBAL GATEWAY was founded by a corporate group which includes the largest educational company in Japan, the "GAKKEN GROUP". We believe that the VR learning experience provides a great opportunity to expand our operations, not only in English learning but in many subjects, and many sales channels."

Am still looking at 12p when the Block-buster-RNS of granting License arrives - could well be into 4thQtr
Bought more today @ 2.975p though could well dip lower (unless folks fancy a P&D in the meantime - not unimaginable)
Unless you believe in one-track-ponies it is good to look at other shares.
As they always say it is best to diversify your portfolio (which is what I always do)
Let's face it - watching MATD solely and recently is pretty boring, as we wait almost endlessly for news of the Exploitation License.
so check out VRE (the future of on-line education)
Bones
Hopefully the news will disceminate over the weekend.
Gotta be up over 20p in the next little while - imho
