i have to agree with Pinocchio on this one. I am in here at around £4. I can afford to hold on and see if I can get some money back but when I hit a target i am out. All the fundamentals look good but something it not right. Every time they release something the share price goes down, every time someone sells the price goes down and then no one wants to buy
Jedclampit, the article is on Centrica's website - https://www.centrica.com/media-centre/news/2022/centrica-signs-lng-heads-of-agreement-with-delfin/
i have probably underestimated how clever he is, consolidate all the shares and then destroy the value of the company so share price goes back to the same as before the consolidation and then buy the whole company!!
Not much point reading the investor presentation, what is it going to say, we are running the company into the ground, we don't know how to increase revenue in an industry that should be multiplying year on year, shareholder value has dropped by about £2 a share in 18 months but don't worry because we use EBITDA to measure how well we are doing. Oh look the circus is in town!!
Not this bad! nearly all time share price low, global pandemic with everyone working from home / remote and the need for computer security being even more important and this company is going backwards. The share price was better when we where a mining company with finite resources
Thanks Sandhopper all understood, seeing as I did not buy my shares at 2p it will take a lot longer to get back level! I suppose long term this is good for the company but cannot help feel that having bailed them out with buying up the additional shares they released to buy the other companies we are now getting stiffed
Have I read this correct (and I probably have not!)
500,000 shares at a cost of £10,000.00 (2p per share)
Consolidate 500,000 / 100 = 5,000 shares
New value = 5,000 x £1 = £5,000.00
I therefore lose £5,000.00
Any help on this would be great
I don't remember seeing millions of shares being bought when the price was around 1.5p yet every week there are millions of shares being sold, either they are making a loss or did not do their research and realise this share was not going to go up overnight!
I would have expected the BoD to have said something by now before the share price drops to zero!! There must be a reason why people are selling especially as we are at an all time low and they must have lost money by selling now
