Hi I have been buying Alba shares this week after researching for a while, haven't finished buying yet, think there's a chance of a superior entry 0.3-0.35 over the next week or so if there's no immanent news. I am confident in the Welsh gold potential, it is a solid asset. It seems as if its touch and go whether alba can get Greenland up and running as well before running out of cash. Is there potential to concentrate the resources on Clogau which is progressing well in practical terms and set up a joint venture/partnership in Greenland?
Hi Prion, I too was puzzled as to why the trial takes long to fill a few weeks ago but then I watched the series Fargo and thats when I could empathise with people! Was set in the 60s and one character a lady was diagnosed with cancer. She was offered a trial by the doctor for a new wonder drug which was 50/50 with placebo which doc explained was just a sugar pill..... At that moment when she realised just what she was being offered I realised what we are asking of very sick very scared people to join our trial in the hope that it all works and we make a profit from the success of the drug and that the drug goes on to save other people. I think we should all remember and be grateful to the patients who signed up for the first trial and took a placebo pill for this project. I am significantly down in my holding but will hold until the drug is being sold in those peoples honour. Unless you're a trader (who should either be buying now or stopped out ages ago) then you're here because you're a long term holder... Good luck all!

6-in-1 protects against:
Diphtheria – a highly contagious bacterial infection, spread by coughs and sneezes, or close contact with someone with diphtheria.
Diphtheria is a serious illness. Doctors treat it immediately and aggressively with these medications: An antitoxin. If doctors suspect diphtheria, the infected child or adult receives an antitoxin. The antitoxin, injected into a vein or muscle, neutralizes the diphtheria toxin already circulating in the body.
Hepatitis B – an infection of the liver caused by a virus spread through blood and bodily fluids.
Antivirals: Cannot clear the infection but can stop the replication of the virus and minimise liver damage.
Lamivudine . Adefovir . Entecavir
Immunomodulators: Reduces the viral load by preventing replication of viruses. Response differs with genetic variations of the virus.
Interferon alfa-2b
Hib (haemophilus influenzae type b) – bacteria that can cause several serious conditions including meningitis, sepsis (a kind of blood poisoning) and cellulitis.
People diagnosed with H. influenzae, including Hib, disease take antibiotics, usually for 10 days, to treat the infection. Depending on how serious the infection is, people with H. influenzae infection may need care in a hospital. Other treatments may include: 1. Breathing support 2. Medication to treat low blood pressure 3. Wound care for parts of the body with damaged skinWhen H. influenzae cause milder infections, like bronchitis or ear infections, doctors may give antibiotics to prevent c...
Polio – a viral infection that can cause paralysis.
Doctors can only treat the symptoms while the infection runs its course. But since there’s no cure, the best way to treat polio is to prevent it with vaccinations. The most common supportive treatments include: bed rest. painkillers. antispasmodic drugs to relax muscles. antibiotics for urinary tract infections.
Tetanus – bacteria that can enter the body through a wound like a cut or scrape.
There's no cure for tetanus. Treatment consists of wound care, medications to ease symptoms and supportive care.
Whooping cough (pertussis) – highly contagious bacterial infection of the lungs and airways.
Treatment Healthcare providers generally treat pertussis with antibiotics and early treatment is very important.
PCV or pneumo jab protects against pneumococcal infections that can lead to pneumonia, sepsis and meningitis.
Several studies have evaluated treatment for PCV. Treatment includes observation, photodynamic therapy, intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF therapy, or combination therapy.
RV protects against rotavirus infection that can cause diarrhoea and vomiting.
Treatment. There's no specific treatment for a rotavirus infection. Antibiotics and antivirals won't help a rotavirus infection. Usually, the infection resolves within three to seven days. Preventing de
Thanks Dafad very interesting indeed! The paper says SARS-Cov 2 (The current pandemic) is more sensitive to IFN beta than SARS-COV which is interesting for us. I must admit for the first time since investing I had a bit of a wobble when I read that old study about the asthma with AZN which was stopped half way and found no significant difference so reading this paper you have sent has completely reinforced my confidence in this drug and investment. Quoted some of the highlights for me below:
"where the viral titers were significantly reduced by over 4 log after IFN-a or IFN-ß treatment at 50 IU/Ml"
"In Hong Kong, the administration of LV/RTV and ribavirin (RV) in addition to subcutaneous injection of IFN ß-1b significantly reduced the virus load, symptoms, and the recovery time in COVID-19 patients in comparison to the antiviral drugs used without IFN"
"In another clinical trial in Wuhan, China on 77 patients with moderate COVID-19, who were administered either oral umifenovir (N?=?24), IFN-a2b (N?=?7) or a combination of both compounds (N?=?46), showed that patients treated with IFN present rapid viral clearance and reduced inflammatory signs compared to others [74]. A retrospective cohort study in Shenzhen city and Hubei province (China) on 141 patients with COVID-19 who inhaled IFN-a2b (N?=?70) or a combination of IFN-a2b and umifenovir (N?=?71) showed that patients treated with IFN- a2b present rapid SARS-CoV-2 clearance and reduced hospital stay"
"In a clinical study conducted in Iran, 20 COVID-19 patients received IFN-ß-1a in combination with HCQ, and LV/RTV as the treatment [78]. Within 10 days, the viral clearance results showed a significant decrease with the recovery of all patients in 14 days. In a randomized clinical trial (RCT) in Iran, the IFN ß-1b reduced the mortality by significantly raising the discharge rate of 33 patients on day 14 compared to the control group comprising of 33 patients treated with LV/RTV or atazanavir/ RTV in combination with HCQ [98]. Furthermore, the inhaled IFN-ß-1a reduced the risk of developing severe COVID-19 among 101 patients by 79 % in phase 2 clinical trial (NCT04385095) in the United Kingdom [79]"
"An early and suitable administration of IFN-a/ß and IFN-? to COVID-19 patients could be of great value in controlling the viral infection while avoiding inflammation and tissue damage. In animal models, an early IFN administration better protects animals in comparison to the late treatments [28,45,80]. Moreover, IFN-a/ß signaling avoids excessive IFN-?-mediated responses and therefore prevents lung injury and chronic inflammation [81"
I'm here and glad to see the good LT holders and posters still here, £20k wiped off the pf I didnt sell any, but have no spare funds to buy any either at the moment so am holding! Hard not to be envious of new buyers strolling in now getting a superior entry but its good that there are buyers!! I just kept reminding myself that in that £87m cash raise there was no clause that they didnt get their money if a vaccine came out and the guys buying those new shares would have known a lot more than I do about the potential here. It would have helped take out the sting if bloody LSE was not down so I could read some calming posts!!!! Finished venting. Onwards and upwards.
Came accross this foreign paper while there, each page is available in English as well, if you press ctrl f and search for interferon it highlights the mentions. Not sure what trial they are referring to in this work if Synairgen have the patent for the inhaled route of delivery and they found it 79% effective in their hospital trial...

Had a look on Google Scholar, could this be the paper or is it a different trial?

If relevant to Trump/Us - sorry if content already been shared on here today, too many forum posts to keep up!
Ha yep and every article has the hot share tip for auto trader at the end wanting you to subscribe to reveal the tip - I googled the dividend yield bit. Unless you're confident of being able to buy back in lower to get some free shares you'd need to be nuts to sell this just before news IMO!
