Ive asked multiple times Rodney. Show me the largest premium ever paid for a share in history based on its existing share price or average over previous 30 days for a publicly listed company. You wont be able to get one thats over 100% I bet never mind in the 1,000's.
As a reminder - here is a mining company in Ecuador bought by the Chinese, this year. Project at a similar level of development.
"The Chinese-backed company will pay C$1.27 a Lumina share, representing a 71% premium to the company’s 20-day volume weighted average and a 41% premium to the April 17 closing price. The transaction, to be completed via a court-approved plan of arrangement, has the backing of shareholders holding 52.3% of Lumina’s stock."
Its NPV at PFS stage - with similar rates for minerals as Cascabel was $2.2 billion so it went for C$581-million. being 425m USD being 19% of NPV. For comparison that would put Cascabel at 608 million so 21 pence ish on comparable NPV basis, 12 p ish on a share price basis.
