As I said a post on Saturday, I am in West Yorkshire visiting family at the mo and we drove across to Manchester City centre Saturday morning to do some shopping and lunch.
I spotted a Boohoo branded store in the big shopping centre there, selling 80-90 per cent pure beauty products, it was absolutely rammed.
Packed with the trendy teens and young mum types, boohoo seems to have that store really placed well and so if that is anything to go by I would imagine they have the beauty stuff online going well too.
It makes me laugh after seeing that, a packed boohoo store when people get hung up on a little ‘demo’ of 11 people blathering on about a reporter who had to walk a bit on his warehouse shift!

Saw that - very very good news. My gut feeling l has always been that families will cut back on big ticket stuff like big holidays, new car, but it seems to be kids are still given their pocket money and still allowed to compete with their mates on the fashion front.

I’m up visiting family in West Yorkshire and we went across to Manchester City centre this morning shopping and saw a big Boohoo STORE in the main shopping centre, seemed to be all cosmetics and beauty stuff. Absolutely packed!

People seen through the times shenanigans (a reporter who could at best come up with complaining about lack of windows in a warehouse) and it’s up we go. Unless Kamani has had enough of the Shorters games and is himself buying… ;)

The lane article in which a journo tries to make a story out of nothing had a slight panic affect early doors (down 5 per cent) but if you check, boohoo is actually doing better than asos this morning.
Perhaps an article is coming where the same journo complains that the asos canteen doesn’t do enough vegan dishes for the workers!

For his next assignment the journo will go undercover at Iceland and complain it’s a bit chilly in the freezer warehouse!

Exactly. Pathetic. The guy complains there are no windows in the warehouse and it was 30 degrees - it was the hottest summer on record.
A real yawn-fest non story not picked up by ANY other media outlet like sky or bbc.

The article is so lame it’s bordering farcical. They thought they had to cobble this together as he’d wasted a month at boohoo. No windows in a warehouse, 30 degree heat (during an august heatwave, the hottest summer on record), good grief.

You’re right. There is an article in todays Mail financial section entitled FTSE 250 celebrates its best week for two years.
It is a length piece about how ftse companies have stormed ahead this week
Now we all know that asos has been one of the top rising shares, but instead the article focuses on virtually every company but not asos.
The writer exclaims “ Prudentisl surged 7 per cent over the week meanwhile there was a huge rally for online retailer Ocado which rose 13 per cent just yesterday alone”

Hmm asos rose 13.4 per cent yesterday.
